Tianjing in my opinion is much better than Beijing, in term of charges and service quality. However you need to know the places and not like beijing where there is some famous street but go there and you are not careful enough and get conned out your hard earned money.

An advise for those cheonging beijing or just about anywhere, never follow any girl who pull you to her bar or ktv, you will get chop like a carrot head.

interesting.....can you try to share more information ? Used to stay in Holiday Inn there, and visited the ktv on the fourth floor but the place seem pretty dead...

Take a train from beijing to tianjing with soft seat RMB$25 - $35 (Sing$5-$7) depend on time slot. Travel time is one hour. Train frequency is hourly.

Cab here is RMB$5 (Sing$1) instead of RMB$10 in beijing. Things here is cheap compared to beijing.
