Is it true that the HIV virus becomes instantly inactivated the second it leaves the human body no matter which fluid it is contained in?

Not so especially when it involves blood which carries the highest viral load.

That is why HIV can be caught from a blood transfusion if the donated blood is not thoroughly screened.

No, if that is the case, then you wont hear cases of transmission via sharing of needles....
the HIV virus could survive for quite a while depending on conditions (e.g right temperature).
