Malioboro is like a gogo bar bro. A fun place even if u are flying solo.
For service try Emporium (not the mall), its not that far from Malioboro. At night from your hotel both places should be about 10-20 minutes taxi ride.
Both are pretty premium.
BFashion / Classic Hotel/ Travel Hotel are all cheaper.
