Bomb rocks Kota Wisata, Bogor; no casualties

A package allegedly containing a bomb exploded in Kota Wisata, Bogor.
Gunung Putri police subprecinct chief Comr. Yogi Napitupulu said a janitor had found the package at around 7:30 p.m on Thursday. The package aroused suspicion because on it was written “Contains Bomb, Allah is Great”.
“The discovery of the package was only reported to police at 10 a.m,” Yogi said Friday, as reported by tribunnews.com.
While examining the suspect package, the bomb squad discovered that it contained lead.
“The bomb squad then took the package to a safe place, in Kampung Cina, Depok, for neutralization,” Yogi said.
However, the package exploded before it could be neutralized. No casualties were reported as a result of the explosion.
“The preliminary suspicion is that [the bomb] used a timer. We are now waiting for the results of a forensics investigation by the National Police,” Yogi said, adding that no witnesses had reported seeing who had left the bomb.
