Sad sad.. I always stayed at Lucky Hotel when I Cheong at CP. Good memory gone with it now..8)

Hua tong still ard but now minimum 3hrs to get to hkia. I heard they go futian bus terminal to pick up before they go hkia... Which explains the added time taken....

With the demise of Chang Ping, I’ve learned that van transport to the Hong Kong airport has deteriorated with them going all over the place first before heading out. Worse, Customs clearance on both sides of the border have become more strict/subject to stringent checks/time consuming as there had been recent cases of smugglers using vans getting caught.

To have a better handle on your travel timing, you could try using the direct train to Hunghom - HK$145, approx. 70 minutes,

and switch to airport bus A21 (HK$33, approx. 75 minutes).

Quite relaxing and you get a city tour of Hong Kong on the way!

Lucky hotel closed down have no impact as there are many, many hotels along the road that have many rooms vacant.

Sad indeed, especially its sauna was pretty nice as far as I remember.

Now in CP only overpriced wg left ... it's really time to see other alternative destinations.

I remember taking the elevator up to the sanua floor. It was on the first floor but was moved to the upper floor. After waiting about 10 mins in a large room, we were given a show with some music. Each girl would walk in front of you to see.

For the hotel it's sad. Lucky was there before all the big hotels later. It was closed for long time for remodeling and then reopened. Now, it's closed because of slow business. There was once a nice dim sum restaurant on the second floor.
Recall they had a to spray every week for roaches.

This is really the most sensible approach. we want to go there to relax. Hate being taken for the long 'scenic' tour. if you are in the front seat, its not too bad,. if you are in the last row... sweat!

Went there and no action - all very scared of getting caught.
Overpriced and poor selection...
quite sad compared to how it was last time.
