Just came back from HCM. Our 3 days (22-24 Aug) experience are as such. We are first time rookie to HCM after finding no fun partying in CP anymore.

Day 1:

We arrived in the morning ard 8am. After checking in hotel, went to Ben Thanh to change monies. Walked a few round could not find the money changer that brothers recomended, we changed opposite the market at 16930. Still better than SG

tipping is normal in the restaurant and cafe...if you want to tip a particular waitress then you must pass her the money directly...whatever left on the table is mostly shared among all...
