Sorry - but why would you want to to FIRST go to elements (Kowloon station) and then have to get the free bus/other transport to Hunghom whilst you can just go on the A21 airport bus DIRECTLY to Hunghom? Saves a lot of time/hassles - no?

And Yes, the direct train to Chang Ping IS very convenient and comfortable - especially NOT having to hassle with crossing Lowu border (A REAL pain actually!!) - but the problem is as you say, the schedule departures - especially around noon is a pain plus many times - especially during the week-end - its not possible to get a ticket for the next departure/all filled up.

Thanks SEAN, I stand corrected I usually fly straight to SZ where I have a driver waiting. I only did the HKIA to 5 elements to HOHUM once and me Honkee not very good maybe I was miss directed... or took a long way... A21 Gotcha

Another way is to get to CP is use one of the local providers like Ken or Sam... to provide transport from the airport to CP... They will have a MPV or Van waiting for you at HKIA... Good thing is timing I once had to take the Red Eye got to HKIA at midnight EVERYTHING ELSE CLOSED but Sam had a Van waiting for me... no hassle straight home...

Yes apparently the CP agents all provide pretty good/reliable service to us bros going to CP.
One thing to note is that EXCEPT for the Huanggang border, all HK/China borders close at midnight (Shenzhen Bay 23:30, Shataukok even earlier at 22:00 I think).

No, the CRH train SZ to DGG/GZE etc stops at around 11 PM. About the only way to get to CP that time is by private car which you should pre-arrange with one of the CP agents. The bus service from SZ airport to Downtown SZ operates quite infrequently at that hour too.

Yup that is true I once had a real late night in HK and needed to get back at i think midnight... I crossed by bus from HG which was not for the feint heart. After I crossed I found my self at the bus station nego with a private car to take me to CP...

I have heard of this scam that happens with late travelers... so b careful...

A car will offer to take you to CP or where ever... usually by 2 men claiming to be brothers for a reasonable price... so you get in they ask for the cash you give it to them but they claim the notes too new they scared fake... but in actual fact they give you back fake notes... after they scam you as much as they can... they will pick a pick a fight between themselves, take you to a spot where there are other drivers and pay one of the legit drivers with your money to take you on to where ever... I have met quite a few pp who were scammed this way...

Better safe than sorry I say... the local providers are reliable...

My exp with sz bao an airport was during my first visit to cp. it was via tiger eta ard 11:30pm aft clear custom. I booked a private MVP with ken and hotel too. Yihao allow late check in.

I was with 2 other brothers so 1st night done nothing much. We book 1 deluxe twin room to shower and take a wink before checking into individual rm next morning.

Being the 1st time and night in cp, we just went out aft check in. Consulted with bell boy where safe and where eat and buy a china sim card.

In the end we just head towards the right side of yihao there got a jar jiang mee store to eat and buy sim fr the convenient store beside it. The cold slice beef was very sedap! Maybe becoz we too hungry. And at the same time the bill was super cheap! 7rmb for a bowl of food! It's was when we first discovered that we are drinking fakie Ching Tao beer too. No taste 1 the beer. Machiam soda pop.

The above was just our 1st time reaching so late in cp.

If u season bro like many of our tai kors here, no matter what time they reach if they want a partner they sure can get 1. Coz they got the contacts.

So the most important thing aft u find a gem in cp is to save their contacts. So that u can call they get rdy when u going late. And as long as u got the maos.

Oh ya 1 thing to note in cp. maos make wonder and is the most powerful thing in cp. no need to scare anyone or thing if u are loaded.

Btw bros, anyone can confirm that the go kart facilities are still in operation ard cp? The last time when I was there, called the number given by bell boy and hotel manger was a wrong number.

Read previously that the facility was pretty cool coz got bar and fl gals inside the facility.

This is an gd option to visit during the aftnoon when u dun want to go massage or suana. IMHO cp is not the place to shop. So I nv liked shopping there. If want shop juz go hkg shop lor. It's juz 2 hours away.

Last trip my MVP uncle say got pple bao his MVP juz for that service . Morning go hkg shop for whole day then come back cp in the late afternoon.each person 1k rmb nia to and flo plus anywhere in hkg.

The first part - about changing your good bank notes for fakes -is quite a common scam even in CP itself, especially at night as its more difficult to detect the sleigh of hands in the dark. And this scam does not need 2 guys to perpetrate - just one lone driver manages to do it to a lot of guys - especially when he's half drunk and/or hurrying/ eager to get it on with his GF of the night!! That's why I always have a lot of small change when in CP - to make sure that I do NOT have to use large bills for small transactions etc.


The second part - selling you to another driver - is not really a scam but is actually quite a common practice around SZ. Drivers who had driven passengers down from other parts of GDD would NOT go back up empty and would instead wait around the old "Second" borders of SZ to "buy" return passengers from operators who specializes on getting passengers around Huanggang.

You see, getting private car passengers around the China/HKG borders requires "arrangements" with the powers-that-be around there and out of town drivers will not risk getting their car confiscated by these powers-that-be for doing this illegal business - thus requiring them to instead wait around the 2nd border or having to go back up home empty.

But yes, this practice is quite a harrowing experience for a lot of the passengers being bought and sold and having to switch cars in the middle of nowhere! Thus my suggestion that one should arrange a car pick-up by one of the agents here, especially if one is going to be traveling in the middle of the night; one never knows when one could be "sold-off" to a robber instead of a genuine driver who just wants to get a client for his trip back home.

Just a Li'l heads-up.
