Maybe what you are saying after whatever you heard from the OKT is true, i don't know. However, if you ask me to choose between believing what you are saying and what a WL from that house told me, I would be more incline to pick the latter.

Am not sure which posts gives you the idea of people taking sides. While its really nice to be diplomatic, you'd also need to be fairly cohesive and reasonable.
