Not difficult to open a bank account in China just with your passport - but you will want to keep your old passport as they do insist on using the number of your old passport even when you've replaced it with one that has another number.

When you have a new passport, get the branch to update (showing you old one) to new the passport, so that you need not bring the old one next time.

So in general, my experiment to have a budget cheong in CP failed. Just could not get it under $1k. Haizzz CP is just too expensive.

Bro, to me it's very budget already, u are to hard on yourself.

Wish I can be as adventurous as u to try going solo and have such an exciting events for a day.

Anybody can comment on this/give additional information etc?

I notice the sauna managers very actively advertising their wares, starting from this week, on various forums, WeChat etc.

And apparently saunas are not operating on a stealth mode any more whilst the bbs's i visited are now well stocked and eager to make up for lost time.

Anybody can confirm or am I being over-optimistic?

1) Baiyun Airport, take the subway/MRT/Metro to Guangzhou East Train Station.

2) GZ East Train Station, take the bullet train (CRH) to Changping Station (ex-Dongguan Station) Tell the ticket counter that you want to buy ticket to CP Station. CP Station was called Dongguan Station. Now, Dongguan Station is moved to Shilong Town. Remember to present your passport for ticket purchase. One ID one ticket.

Bro: You beli humble leh! Providing additional information and offering help is not kaypoh leh. If I am not wrong, normal coach/economy class is RMB54.50 per ticket, anyway, it's less than RMB60.00

ticket machine only for those smart card IC from China/HK. Oversea visitor have to Q and buy ticket manually through counter.
