I was in AC last year when the raids began , not sure if I posted my experiences on that or not but I was in one of the bars involved and EVERYBODY at the bar was taken to the police station.
Some bars were targeted (maybe for lack of proper bribes) but I do know that 2 of the bars were picked at random to show the (US--I believe) that the PI govt was active to snub out the sex traffic.

Just to add,

It is not the raid on the selected bars that is the problem. The main problem is that when a raid happens, all the rumours that you can possibly think of is spread around like gasoline in a fire. Most of the bars fearing they could be targeted will close their doors. Last year for several days during the raids most parts of Fields looked like a ghost town.

Airline don't care, and Singapore immigration don't care .. as I remember, the arriving country has decision, and if you convince them it is personal reason/emergency etc, allowed .. not a compulsion per se ..

The final judgement is made by the immigration agent at the destination. The so call "6month rule" is just an advisory , So its more an individual case by case rather than a general rule--per se.

Also, it is a more important fact that the immigration dept screens more on which country the passport was from (and the person travelling) as some countries have travellers that do "abuse" the overstay rule more than others--hence the 6 month extra rule. (some African countries for example are the worst culprits).
So a Canadian with 3months on his passport may not have a problem but a Nigerian with even 8mths on his PP maybe denied entry. The rules are not set in stone.

bro PT, the case is always charged as "HUMAN TRAFFICKING" .. not for sex trade .. i posted an infamous picture of even NoyNoy hugging some girls in one of the bars .. so .. sex trade doesn't exist .. in AC and everywhere ..

Even when LAC got raided, the managers were held for human trafficking, before they used a dentist to identify a girl as below legal age .. (legal age for what ??? Screwing or drinking or selling herself ?? )

Milk man: one of the reason why I lock up all my stuff and walk 'bare' pocket, with a cheap throwaway phone .. and not much $ in my pocket .. is .. i always envisage a worst case scenario .. where i may find myself locked up .. and don't want the fuckers to raid my wallet .. or anything ..

Even a few month ago, a couple of friends cut short there 2 week in AC to 4 day .. only after a lot of tiger beer did they reveal that they took up on an offer of a local guy to find 'nice young girls .. ' only that the nice young girls vanished and they were made to give their handphones- Samsung, 2 Iphone, and 1 Sony phone .. plus all the money in their wallet, or face prosecution for soliciting young innocent girls .. with the intention to outrage the modesty of the sweet innocent filipinas .. and the watches .. and they were dropped at some place near Diamond Subdivision .. they had to beg a trike fellow to take them back to their hotel. . and with the budget gone, they quitely packed up and took the next flight out of dodge city ..

Honeypot is my "home" bar. I am very close to the people there and knowing they are still inside with not much hope saddens me. Yes, I do have very accurate updates from my friends re this incident.
