2. Go to "legal" or safer joints like MBC, massage palour or KTV like AF1. Do not choose from a roving/street girl.

One side tip - Respect the girls even though they are freelancers/hookers.

I have not been to AC but would actually like to experience it.

Like I sad earlier , its good to have options. If you're worried about AC , then go Pattaya. I like both as they each have their own plus and minus points.

I'm sure you collected some numbers during your last stay so I wouldnt cancel if I was you. Anway unless you're taking the expensive normal flights , budget airlines would cost you more to change flight. If AC is still being raided during your stay , you could have a tougher time finding girls but when you find them , they'll be more ........'appreciative'

Its a long journey and usually I break journey in AC/Manila/Cebu. Meaning spend a night and do something useful. Starts with a Sg>Mnl/Cebu flight then a domestic flight on a turbo propeller plane or a Supercat fast ferry to Ormoc and then a bus/jeep ride. Long journey but take it as an adventure or experience. Take the chance to mingle with the locals in the provinces. They are usually friendly and less risky then the locals you meet in AC or Manila.

Bars are more like videokes with mostly CMI girls or Baklas. You don want those.

I am lucky to have many contacts throughout the provinces and so I am ok when I am there.

Sala thread la! I try not to go too deep into politics and religion. Especially thai coz maybe say something to offend the king and it will be worst that being caught in any raid!

Little correction .. MBC Is not a legal joint .. it is just a better managed bar - like Ipanema or so .. with the security trying hard to weed out the underage girls .. but, one in a thousand does slip in, when the country has no IC, and anything is IC, like library card .. and what not .. and you can put whatever date of birth you want there ..

I have not been to AC but would actually like to experience it.

Take a two day trip to AC, and you will be thrilled

My 2 cents ?? You are nuts to go to Bohol, unless you have some ulterior motive .. if you are going to see the chocolate hills and tarzier, my 2 cents says .. DONT ..

The filipinos ignore the prominant tourist attractions, and promote some crappy place, unconnected with any place, and you spend 2 days to reach the place, to see something which can only take half an hour .. sorry sir .. not my taste .. like the time i spent 4 hours to see a water fall somewhere, and the Bird Park Water fall is bigger and majestic than the silly water fall I saw .. but .. for the people on that area, that is their pride and joy .. when you haven't left your island, you think your's is the best (no offense to anybody .. )

Better head to Palawan, and the underground river .. that, my friend, is an amazing experience ..

Very well said, but sometimes one must see for himself to satisfy that CURIOUSITY just for once.

Z: my beef is .. if the place is so good, why not the tourism board make access easier ? instead of making people spend a whole damn day to trundle up there .. only to get disappointed ??

Like a lot of attractions, kept purposely inaccessible, so as to not affect the other businesses / hotels in areas where the big-chief's cronies have invested ..

Take the underground river .. it took about 5 hours plus to reach, and I was in no good mood, but the tour was exhilarating .. to say the least ..

But the waterfall I went to see in another place .. took 6 hours .. and then see the waterfall for 10 minutes and off we take another 6 hours to return back. . the only beneficiary ? the stores and sari-sari shops on the way with the compulsory stops, plus our chartered jeepney's in-flight sales

If the seats in the jeepney were comfy, I would have slept .. ...

And .. even in Baguio .. the Mines view .. they could have made it interesting instead of go up, look-look, come down .. and then get harassed by the touts with the half dead st bernard and the malnourished pony to take photos ..

No kidding, but, they can have some nice visitor center, and then have a little restaruant .. and make the travel up hill worthwhile .. especially for those who have seen bigger mountains and valleys .. ah well, the people from Luzon will swear that it is the best in the world .. having never been to place like CDO, Palawan or Batanes ..

Yeah, do it once ..

I agreed that Palawan and the underground river is worth the trip. I been to Bohol also..but if you go Bohol be sure to do some diving at Balicasag island and around Panglao island. The beauty under the water is breath taking!!!! hehehe

yep, a dive will be worthwhile .. and for those terrified of diving - most dive masters are europeans and americans, on their early retirement .. and are professional, and safety is their no 1 priority ..

You can always opt for a fun-dive, with a dive instructer in tow, and managing your BCD .. you will feel it worth, atleast for the half an hour of nearly pure oxygen .. better than getting high on anything

If not, you can always do helmet dive, if it is available ..

That is why I put the inverted commas. Even the MP there is not legal I heard. Of course, MP without sex is ok but everybody knows what is happening inside.

Any lobang for girls in Palawan? For such trips to PHP, I usually go alone so will be lonely.

AC is actually quite cheap. I spend a total of $1k for 5 days 4 night of all day party, massage and booze. And I stayed in a pretty good room at Royal Amsterdam Hotel which is right at the very heart of field avenue. My Airfare is $150+ from Tiger Airway that time.

But AC kena raid liao. From the recent post, seems like all or most bars are close. Fields Avenue become botak avenue liao.

But who know, they may bounce back in no time!

I kind of give up on AC cause I don't like the koreans there and also price is getting way out of hand. I prefer the quality in Manila nowaday. More expensive but nicer looking girl. I just go to DIA 1 month before my trip to get to know some girls and see how it goes. Worse case still got Icon and Havana to go. hehe
