Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
You know it’s incredible really, I thought that our attack could never improve on the 18/19 season but sometimes I just can’t get over how we perform at times.
We might win nothing this season, yet at this moment it’s unbelievable what we’re achieving. Those players and Klopp, how lucky are we? When I think what we have spent in comparison to others, quite frankly, it’s unbelievable, doubters to believers eh?! Also, in 87/88 we scored 33 goals in our first 13 league games and we were scoring for fun that season. To have scored 6 more than that this season is just amazing. Overall, we were largely very comfortable but our counter attack protection is still way off from what it should be but saying that going forward we are absolutely breathtaking. It's just a joy to behold. Jota's movement is Fowleresque. An absolutely brilliant signing. Robbo is eager to show he is the number one at left-back. Hopefully, Mane and Salah saving their goals for midweek in the big derby. Nice to have a relaxing Sunday now and hopefully United and West Ham can help make it a cracking start to the new week, unlikely but you never can tell. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
RIP Ray Kennedy... Our Liverpool hero in the greatest Pool team we ever have !
I remember the midfield Pool had during his time was Souness Mcdermott, Case, Lee, Gallaghan n Kennedy himself. The strikers were Toshack, Keegan/Dalglish, Heighway, Johnson n Fairclough.. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Iconic Liverpool manager Bob Paisley wrote in his autobiography that Kennedy was "one of Liverpool's greatest players and probably the most underrated." He left Anfield in 1982 and spells at Swansea and Hartlepool followed, but his body was already in the grip of the crippling disease which was affecting his mobility. Kennedy was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1984 and lived with the condition for decades in a testament to the strength of his character. A testimonial game between Liverpool and Arsenal was held in his honour in 1991. Later that year he sold his medals and 17 England caps to help raise funds for his care. |
