Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Kenny Dalglish believes Fernando Torres has Barclays Premier League defenders running scared after his performance against Chelsea. The Kop legend was watching from a TV set in Spain as Torres opened his Liverpool account last weekend.
"I was off my seat in Spain when he stood up to Terry in the first half when Terry was screaming in his face," Dalglish told LFC Magazine. "That's what you want to see from your players – he wasn't aggressive or annoyed, he just showed Terry he wasn't bothered by what he did. "He got up and stood his ground. He refused to be intimidated but made sure he kept his hands by his sides. "There's not many people disturb John Terry's calm but Torres did it inside the first 10 minutes. "I was delighted for him when he scored. The way the boy anticipated what Stevie was going to do with the ball, and then the clever way he stopped and then started his marker tells you he's going to be a star. "You'd better believe that just about every central defender in the country will have been tuned into that game, and they'll all be nervous about facing him. Maybe even frightened." Torres' first competitive goal for Liverpool came almost 30 years to the day since Dalglish opened his Reds account. The man voted number one in .tv's 100 Players Who Shook The Kop series first netted against Middlesbrough on August 20, 1977. The new Kop hero's opener came on August 19, 2007. If the King himself think Torres is good enough, guess we have oursleves an exciting season ahead!

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
What a goal ... finally Sissoko breaking his premier league duck ... & what a way to break it in style.
Good build-ups in the entire first half ... let's hope they dun slow down in the second, so that they can gain more confidence from winning such tough away games more convincingly, more consistently!!! YNWA ...

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I feel we can play better in the 1st half.. Quite fustrating at times when we have tons of possesion and cannot convert them into chances...
I thought Torres should score at least twice... Let see in the 2nd half! PS. Sunderland GK Gordon like not bad sia...
