This is reverse psychology. They play this game often with the customers. Its already a system.

We are both veterans and are willing to show our skin is thick, but we are the minority. My advise is more to enlighten the others who could be drawn into their trap. Especially the newbies and the groups.

i fully agree...i find a lot of guys willing to throw money. losers? too rich? new at the game?

Landed NAIA at wee hours on 9-Dec, took a meter taxi for about 140peso to Victory Liner Pasay bus terminal and board the bus head for Dau bus terminal. Disembark at Dau terminal 20 minute before 8 and get a small bite at Jollibee for breakfast. Thanks to bro ZIEBART, check in to Clark Star Hotel before 9am. The rain started to pour before 11am and still drizzling around 7pm. Manage to get $1SGD : 33.2peso from Jenny MC.

Just to add to these great insights from Ziebart .

I sometimes have the time to chat with a few of the ladies recently and also from experience that they are also more cautious these days toward some asians and especially if you even remotely look like a Filipino. U have to understand with all the raids recently some are shying away. They could mistake you for an undercover cop. So just want you guys to know that sometimes this could happen also because this happen to a friend of mine. He happen to get a nice tan so they mistake him for a native and suspect him as a cop. When I finally ask the waitress why we were getting the cold treatment, she ask me if my friend was Filipino. I laughed as he said "Hell NO". From then on we got served properly.

I guess All the above is true to some extent. Many spend too much because they are in it having too much fun and don't care what they are spending as long as the good times continues. (Remember what Ziebart said about little head "thinking" for u).
Truthfully I can't really find fault in that as long as they felt the money was well spent and they had a good time and this only happens on a few occasions and not everyday. Also lets not forget that some bars rely on some of us sometimes spending a little more having a good time as they can't stay in business long if we all just walk in and not buy a beer or two and walk out.
Thats why its a habit of mine no matter which bar I walk into I will almost always at least order a beer, sit down relax and if I didn't like what I see on the menu then tip the waitress 10p and smile and leave. I always try to contribute at least something to the bar even if its a little.
Like Ziebart said, its business and I for one like to see them stay in business. Your thoughts may differ from mine but thats how I usually operate.

PS. I've often been call a cheap charlie also.
