reminds me of a guy who had asked a boat man, and boat man said "2,500 peso" - the guy says "no have so much money .. " Know what the boat man says ? "sir you are generous - go back to your country, make money and come and be more generous here .. " How many time I told you all here ? Rule #1 in Philippines - don't try to define LOGIC in Banana republic .... go with the flow and don't try to tell them that saving in taxi fare means more money to spend for ourself .. sometimes such logic flies, sometimes it is lilke "I am sure you have more more money in your pocket" Fortunately except a rare few I meet, most know my spending power, and bluntly I tell them I can only burn X peso .. that's it .. Ah, I mentioned before .. met a girl, and bought her dress and what not exceeding 5000 peso .. and when she stay for the night I told her, I have no more peso and only few S$ as I am getting back .. all ok. Morning she wake up and start off "can you spare me a couple of thousand peso" and when I said I am keeping 500 peso for airport tax + some more for taxi etc, she started to sulk .. Well, i was that close to telling her .. that the 5,000 also was MY MONEY .. and she should have heard that I am not keeping much money .. left .. well, did I bother telling her ? No .. because the last thing I want to do is to reason and explain to her that if she needed money, she should have told me not to buy the gifts and swap them for cash .. and oh, she was a friend .. not pick up Girls like that - happens once, then they are forgotten .. others who understands and tells me "darling, don't spend unnessecirily, better you pass me as cash so I can buy other things .. " I love them ... and appreciate them, and keep them in my "PLEASE DO REPEATEDLY LIST" As for the girls not trying to bargain on your behalf, again, remember, she will take it is a good thing by helping a kababayan make some extra money .. after all, what does the church preach ?? Rich must give to poor di ba ? Oh well, floods in CDO and everybody including president says "we have faith that the church .. " and church goes "we will do another round of collection from poor .. " Poor ??? hello ?? the rich in Pinas can afford to more than rebuild the whole of CDO .. and well, just a 5% of their nett asset can feed a hundred thousand and more .. Defies logic yeah ? Leave your brain behind when you go to PinaLand LOL PS: PNoy didn't party in the PSG party .. he only spent a few minutes - few minutes enough to listen to "THREE SONGS" and also hear some jokes and laugh and have some food .. oh well, only few minutes .. (on an easy estimate that is more than half an hour .. oh hell, filipino time .. ) And the funny part is the Palace spokesman saying he had to do it for those who defend PNoy for 365 days a year .. if you know what else PSG does you will die laughing .. they do stuff including .. racketeering, faking the letters of affidavit, kidnapping (oh, there are a dozen and one cases pending .. ) and of course .. doing private security, arranging license for private fire-arms .. do they protect the president ? it maybe one of the jobs .. LOL .. PS: PINAS - means Pineapple ?? well, change Banana Republic to Pineapple Republic .. or REPUBLIC OF PINEAPPLES !!!!!!!!

i also do it this way to my girlfriend.. when go to her province, she shopped like nobody business, expect me to pull out my credit card and pay for everything. well i can pay but i am not going to do that. if i do not discipline you now, next time u will suck me dry of my money.. when we come back to sg, i make sure she pay me back every single cent. and she paid me back. i told her, buying things for her/friends or family is at my discretion, at no point you can force your will on me. I can help you with your responsibilities but i am not going to share your responsibilities. I don't like their friends/relatives treating me as robert. no WAY manz.. i like you i treat u is ok. not u expect me to treat you when i am there.

This afternoon, Citicab called me to collect a taxi and since 3pm, I been driving round Singapore. Slipped home to check on this thread and am happy to see so many new fellas giving their opinions. etsys, well said. Good reading and very good understanding of the illogical pineapple /banana filipinos. Going out to drive again or shall I say look see Singapore since I stopped taxi driving in May 2011.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Woah i am not alone then.
Its great that you practise this too. I love the part where you say i can pay but i wont, i must discipline you etc... In fact my gfs relatives started borrowing money from her thinking im going to subsidize their extravaganza. Finally she told them he does a lot for me, but wont do anything for anyone else. She told them tht i dun gv her any money Quote:

You'd stand a better chance of finding accomodation further out. Last I heard was even the ABC was running at near full house. |

As bro Ziebart correctly pointed out, best one out in Fields is still Royal Amsterdam inmy opinion, great location, nice comfy king-sized bed (with better linen than Swiss i'd say) albeit a tad more expensive. Fren stayed in Royal Apartelle once, feedback was quite good and easier on the wallet also. Only minus pts are that its on top of Camelot so can be noisy and not so good if u r a light sleeper and that no key drop like hotel so u gotta carry ur room keys everywhere with u. Hope this helps. cheers, w.f.g |

No points earned in guessing that CCB is one of the first you picked up.
