Clark Airport records 725,023 passengers in 2011
Tuesday, January 10

The Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) has recorded 725,023 international passengers for the year 2011.

Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) president Victor Jose Luciano said information transmitted by the CIAC Corporate Planning Department showed international passenger volume increased to 19 percent from the 607,704 passengers in 2010.

“This is an accomplishment for the DMIA as it is the first time that a tremendous increase in international passenger volume was achieved. This only shows that the Clark airport is being recognized around the world,” Luciano said.

What FR you want? Cheap Charlie me lead a life that most people don need to do when they come here. My budget controls my criteria on how I get my pleasures. Life to me is cheap and so I take the risks of being killed by locals.

Our brothers here are short term millionaires when they come and should live their dream at the bars and with the girls. Just enjoy yourself and tolerate our grumblings when we say you spoil market.

I wanted to eat the superb Fish n Chips last night at 190p but was lucky to see the board outside the restaurant and noticed its 250p now. So a quick U turn and out. Found a new filipino eatery at Videoke Street behind Club Asia and its a gem. Excellent food at my price. Clean and professional.

This latest prawn experience is new. I recommend it to our brothers cos the stall owner is very hospitable and have good attitude towards us. A good experience awaits.

Exchange rate is at 33.85p yesterday and night temperature is cold for my standard. Light scattered rain experienced. Roads wet and DIRTY.

Back to Singapore tomorrow and will drive my taxi tomorrow night to get more cash for next trip. Already too much of a good thing here.

Clark Star Hotel offer for our SBF brothers still available at 680/800/960/1280p. Its a 20% discount from their rates. Comes with breakfast for 2 and free pick up and send back to Clark Airport. A budget hotel, 5 minutes walk from Fields past Astro Park.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

1) bro.... Ur prawns look super attractive... For sea food lovers....that must be paradise

2) Despite budget controls we'd still love to hear how you get ur girls.... And may i request how much u pay?tip?

3) sometimes i spoil market too.... Many times i try to save as well.

4) there was an occassion wen i was charged close to php 1000 wen i asked a massage shop to send his girl to my room for two hour massage.. Wen i walked away... I was offered the same massage for two hours at hotel at php 600. Hopefully thts a decent price.

5) guess sometimes everyone just want to splurge... Just to feel good.... And while living ur dream... Living ur fantasy.... U know ur being made a fool off.. Yet u do it.... Only to wake up d nxt day n think if u were taken for a ride?

6) oh the fish n chips jacked up the price? Thank you for having introduced that shop to me. My gf n i enjoyed it. The only minus point (for me may not apply to others) was d missing tobasco sauce

7) put up a picture of that shop ... Eatery...if u can bro

8) exchange rate seems good

9) weather seems to be fit for me... I love the scattered rain n the chills.... Had a hard time readjusting in Singapore after having lived for a month plus at 11degrees night temp. I felt i was being roasted alive ... During the first few days wen i had gotten back into singapore..

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

Despite the many negatives i still love Clarke airport... Why?

1) hotels r close to the airport

2) you dun need to leave ur home 3-4 hours before ur flight having to worry for traffic jams in the city enroute to airporte or the human traffic jams within d airport

3) ur baggage arrives reasonably fast

4) the immigrations n customs officers r ok.... Though they once asked my friend"why do you have condoms in your bag?" Oh yea there was an occassion when i had more than 10k peso on me in local currency... I admitted to tht... And d guy held me for a while before letting me off... Despite tht they r ok

5) out of the airport n u can cheong in 15 min already

Yes couple of times my baggage was damaged but nothing else to crib about.

Oh yes the absence of pens/forms at departure area... Thts a real pain

Else good so far

Touch wood

Salud

PS: thanks bro darknightrises

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

Lovely write up

Long long ago by Bro Rub & Buah.

sorry for the late acknowledgement.

but i fully agree with you....

I wish more brothers shared. Unfortunately a lot of them use the information here and never come and post an FR. Thats very sad... And i am glad bro that you have highlighted this.

A lot of people whack me too and for my posts.. But i still soldier on..... I try not to get affected.

I agree with you regarding the food as well.

Salud

PS: Bro Rub&Buah

Lovely pictures there....

Is the frying fish the same shop that Grand Master Ziebart had recommended to me? Or is it in Subic?

BTW ur Subic pictures are lovely...

I remember my time in Bario Barretto....

You can just forget the world.... Obviously my Grand Master Ziebart helped me get a chartered car to bring us there and back....We were a reasonably big group....

Din barfine any of the girls there in Baretto... But partied hard till two of my friends were piss drunk and were snoring in the rear seats....

My then pinay gf from singapore thoroughly enjoyed the Alfresco environment by the sea.... Rooms were pretty cheap out there and lastly the live bands were pretty decent too....

1) there's a lot of reader here but those who post and share info are just too little.lucky we have some bros who constantly support this thread & update current situation.

2) your kimbap looks good.I'm also a food lover always on the look out for cheap & masarap food.eating the food from hotel & restaurant while overseas has not much meaning.not only the price is mark up too much but also the recipe is being change to foreigner taste.one got to try thier local food in thier local place to get the experience.I like to go to the place where most local eat be it any kind of dishes not just thier authenicity.it also save u plenty of cash if u are a frequent traveller or long stayer.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

This is what i have been mentioning for far too long. But no body seems to believe me.

Seriously. I can get Azithromax generics the whole set at a $ <<from reputed pharmacy from India>>

I really dunno how the locals survive with that kinda pricing.....

Heart pain to pay that kinda price man.....

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

This is a blind cut&paste

Hv not verified the percentages... Bro Ninja may come after me again?

Ethnic Groups for Angeles City
Christian Malay 91.5%, Muslim Malay 4%, Chinese 1.5%, other 3%

So they are all classified as Malay?

Looks like deep inside all of us love Malays??

Wooooo?

The cheapest transportation is by public jeep from outside the airport after a 300m walk and will cost about 12p. The practical cheap transport is to take the aircon jeep waiting outside arrival hall and it will stop you at either SM, Jollibee of Fields or Dau terminal. A guy will be holding a sign with the words AIRCON JEEP to DAU TERMINAL and that's 50p. Or else its 300p for a regular taxi to Fields.
