Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
To the bro who pm me regarding TUNE hotel, here you go.
http://www.tunehotels.com/our-hotels/angeles-city ANGELES CITY— A 160-room hotel here designed to serve the growing number of passengers at the Clark airport opened on Feb. 10, reducing accommodation problems during peak seasons. The 10-story Tune Hotel just at the perimeter of Clark Freeport on Don Juico Avenue is the latest of a chain of hotels sought by tourists from the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Gilda Padua, president of the Alliance of Travel and Tours Agencies of Pampanga (ATTAP), said Tune Hotel is an answer to many budget travelers who opt for comfort and convenience. She said the new hotel “perfectly matches the low-cost carriers that fly from the Clark Airport.” Lankester said the Tune Hotels chain pioneered the concept of “empowering hotel guests” by giving them the option to pay only for hotel amenities they choose under a “pay-as-you-use” scheme. He said the common convenience of “five-star beds, power showers, clean environment, 24-hour security and convenient locations” is available at the hotel which opened on the second day of the 17th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Clark. Tourism Regional Director Ronnie Tiotuico said the available 3,000 hotel rooms in Pampanga had been fully booked from February 9-12 during the hot air balloon festival. He said that arrivals at the Clark airport had consistently increased over the years. The Tune Hotel-Angeles is the first in the country, but other Tune Hotels are soon to open in Cebu City and Ermita, Manila. More are to be constructed in Makati City, Cagayan de Oro City, Quezon City and Parañaque City, Lankester said. He said the location of Tune Hotel in this city’s tourist district was planned to be near “tourist attractions, entertainment, food and beverage, and shopping centers.” He said that Tune Hotel “presents a good opportunity to introduce our brand to the market and offer an alternative to travelers” as he noted that “while the Philippines has a lot of opportunities for leisure tourism, hotel rooms here are still expensive.” He said at Tune Hotels, guests have more options to save on cost by opting, for instance, not to use the TV set or the air-conditioning unit. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Ouch your reply regarding TUNE hotels is here.
Ok I have seen the TUNE hotels in Angeles City. It is approximately 2 km from the centre of Fields Avenue (Read Ko Ko Mos Resto from where you can get a birds eye view of what is happening at Fields. Now my point is .... if you are a noob.... and i am also assuming that you are the typical "kiasu" Singaporean who may not wanna risk much .... i would then suggest that you stay grounded in fields and stay closer to fields... There are a couple of Hotels in close proximity to Fields where you can stay without the stress of wondering the whereabouts of a new location. As an example convenience stores, restos (local term for restoraunts), are a distance away. I wont deny that there are a couple of eateries around.... But you wont have a choice. Now if you stayed at Fields or closer to Fields avenue, then there are more options... There is a 7-11 there, there is a Mini Stop (their version of Cheers). There is a Supermarket (Read JJs) there is a korean supermart. Massages abound Massages with specials abound Lots of food.... Yes local food and Western cuisine. There is a Jeepney terminal for transport Take the trikes at the Mini Stop. They are cheaper. I pay php 40 at times. Now i think the price you paid(or going to pay) Php 2700 is quite reasonable for a 3 night stay. Since the offer includes wifi, aircon and toiletries. There are a couple of bars around.... My favourite Honey Kos to start with and if you slowly walk down you will come across Nasty Duck, Foxies, Tits & Asses etc. you will pass by the Famed Club Rio Street too... but still you are a distance away from Fields..... Even when at Club Rios.... Its still gonna take you a long long walk before you hit Fields itself.... For regulars its ok.... We have done it many times.... Now at night.... the place is pretty lonely honestly not many souls in sight after 830pm. Now the thing is i have left Perimeter safely at 1130pm. So yes its not all that bad. But for you.... you are a noob. So not sure if is a good idea to go back alone at that hour.... or later... If you are game for the challenge .... then you can stay at TUNE, else i suggest stay closer to Fields. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Aiya..... my replies super delayed....
Internet in room Generally Good. Pretty Good for browsing/surfing and placing voice calls. I am not sure what is the level of wifi quality that you would need for your job but it was pretty decent for me. I surfed and made calls. Video streaming had a problem at times tho.... So while i was getting my massage my porn video stopped many times... Quote:
