Planning a virgin trip alone next month to this wonderlands for man .
been reading thru many many pages and a little lost as too many say this good that bad.
Prepare to stay for 1 week from 23rd July , if happening may extend further .
Looking to stay in ouya or yihao since I notice is the top 2 hotel in changping.
What to aspect and what to arrange for booking of ktv as I am a ktv man .

Yeah SBF thread on CP is quite messy seems a lot of the posters are lao jiao. There are other forums that specialize in posting FRs too, Ouya and Yihao are the top 2 KTVs in terms of decor and quality of gals (IMO), but also the priciest. The hotels are very nice, but be warned that Ouya is out of the way.
Yihao is more centralized, and closer to the train station, but the best location, imo, is either Zhong Yuan Road or Swan Lake.
For those 2 places, the best hotels are Miraton, HuiHua, Walter (ZY) and Clipper (SL)
Since you're going alone, you'll be contacted by quite a number of agents on this thread to invite you to go to a mixer. A mixer is KTV room booked by the agent where every guest pays a certain amount to participate, around 300-350RMB. You get to join with a dozen other bros in the room and have unlimited baijiu or like 6 cans of beer (split between you and your MM). If you sit 2 gals you pay 50RMB more.
This is a better option than booking an entire room by yourself where you yourself will pay a minimum of 800RMB for the room
One thing that you need to do is to bring enough cash. ATM offer poor rate and transaction fee and most places hard to accept Visa (KTV and Hotel accept Visa). But I don't like using credit card because of bad rates and the easy traceability.

Wont be keen on mixed k , if the spending per nite on ktv is below 1500rmb I am still ok with it , just don't like the idea drinking with others I hardly know.
Would be more or less decided to try both hotel rooms .
Can I just get any agent to book the ktv room for me ? Will the agent stay with me throughout the nite or I wont even see him ? Just in case I need him to settle some thing or dispute , will he be there for me ?

Bro Dabao ...... juz get in touch with the few agents here and leave all your worry to them. They are more than happy to arrange everything from transport, hotel, KTV , sauna , massage and even your meals . Juz bring enough cash with you are the only matter you need to worry . Have fun and I might be there end july too and you can start knowing me first now than we drink in CP by then .
