Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
i do not think Kenny will like to stay long, maybe as interim manager.
Martin O'Neill will be good for Liverpool. it will be difficult to tempt him, unless there is a promise of cash for him to buy some quality and good players.

1. Loyalty. Rafa could have gone to many bigger clubs with ready, much bigger transfer budgets in the 6 years that he was with us. He refused all 'offers', including the latest offer from Juventus. How many of us will stay on in a job (where the management doesn't like you) and refuse a bigger pay package? 2. Initial lack of transfer freedom. In his first few seasons, his transfers are influenced by Parry. Rafa says buy Barry first then Keane. Parry bought Keane and said there's no more funds for Barry. So when the Keane transfer didn't work out, did anyone blame Parry and not Rafa? 3. European nights. We are fantastic in Europe under Rafa. How many glorious nights have we seen over the last 6 years? Victory in Instanbul, good games against Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter, Ac Milan etc. I forgot who said this here but a bro commented that 'I don't care what happens in the EPL but no one fucks with liverpool during European nights.' That sums it all. Who said that ah? 4. Current team versus team 2003/4. Can someone analyse the team that Rafa is leaving behind versus the team that Houllier left behind? I think Rafa will be leaving a lot more gems behind. Houllier left us Biscan, Traore, Baros, Vesterveld, Henchoz, Diao, Diouff. 5. Heart of Liverpool. I think Rafa tries to understand how unique Liverpool is. Houllier was quite distant in contrast. I'm sure we all read stories about him entering a pub full of Liverpool fans. How he signed Fowler and Sammy Lee and Dalglish again. I do see him trying to get back to the roots of the club. 6. Leaving by mutual consent. He could have refused to leave by mutual consent and gotten more money. But he chose to take lesser money by leaving with mutual consent. I think the money will have to be shared by the team of staff that he brought in. Sort of as a parting compensation amount to all. I doubt that 100% of the money will end up in Rafa's pockets. I don't doubt how crappy our performance was last year. I just doubt that someone better will be willing to replace Rafa in a club with little transfer budget, no Champions League football to attract new players and a pair of feuding George Bushes who are trying to sell the club. Who will come? At least Rafa is willing to work under such horrible conditions.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
bro,wat u said is rite.
Hw many in rafa's shoes k stay so long on tis job when they don't see eye-to-eye with the club management & owners ? when there r clubs in the league tat r spending big $ on players,u hv 2 catch up ..... asap or risk being left behind. even if it was Alex or even Jose on tis job, they wouldn't be able 2 deliver the EPL title under such owners, management & financial condition. |

Insight tip is Sven Goran Erikson to take charge
Ex Manchester City and England manager |

Don't worry, we are Pool, there is always light at the end of the storm. I'd hope Rafa comes out and says what really happened - not just the sacking but the entire saga at Pool with Parry and the Yanks. Quote:
I'm also willing to give Hodgson a go. His teams are very well organised although they sometimes struggle to win matches away (also a failing of Rafa). |
