Hi bro,

I am visiting my Vietnamese gf in HCMC next month... Am in the process of sourcing for a hotel. May I ask is the rule for Vietnamese girl not allowed to stay with foreigner in the same room still exist?

Are they any gf-friendly hotel in HCMC to intro?

Appreciate your help greatly!

I'm staying at A&Em next week! Selected the one at Ha Ba Truong because it was lowest priced and looks good on photo.

This rule have always been in place, just that most of the 1 to 2 stars hotels chose to close 1 eye in order to get more clients

It is always best to check with the hotels direct if they allow you to bring your vietnamese girlfriend in as it is not always guaranteed. Most of them do reply to english written emails in fact, and reservations do not require any advance or upfront payments so good to book via emails also.

I have always hated this hotel chain for 2 reasons,

01) Ever increasing room rates especially for those popular branches.

02) They have this habit of not informing you if there are no rooms and will just change you to another nearby branch once you reach their counter. I stayed there twice only and twice they did this to me becos that particular branch is very popular, even though I have booked 2 months in advance

i also no such problem and always able to reserve the particular room at a constant rate at one of the A & Em hotel although i not use it for every visits

Emailed to few selected hotels already and so far have 2 replies.. One hotel in D1 replied that I need to pay an extra cost per day for my gf to stay with me on top of the room charge, while the other one near airport doesn't charge any extra at all... Am still considering whether to choose which one.

KT oi, that is becos u stay at their smaller outlets where the demand is low, u try to stay at their popular bigger ones like the one at Ly Tu Trong and u will know what I meant

Choice is simple depending on what u really want to do,

If u only want to bonk (like our dearest KT whom can stay in the hotel room for all of 3 days to bonk only) then stay at ulu place near the airport also nevermind

If u also want to shop & move around for some touristy activites then better to stay at D1 near Cho Ben Thanh
