BEIJING: China's central Hubei province, where the deadly coronavirus first emerged late last year, is to lift travel curbs after two months under lockdown, local officials said on Tuesday (Mar 24).

Healthy residents will be allowed to leave the province from midnight Tuesday.

Cori19 virus can't survive in the open more then a few hours and it's very contagious.

So if there's no more new coronavirus cases continuously for 14 days etc etc etc days. It means coronavirus is fully gone except imported case.

In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 across the world, China has decided to temporarily suspend the entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas or residence permits still valid to the time of this announcement, effective from 0 a.m., 28 march 2020. Entry by foreign nationals with APEC Business Travel Cards will be suspended as well. Policies including port visas, 24/72/144-hour visa-free transit policy, Hainan 30-day visa-free policy, 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign cruise-group-tour through Shanghai Port, Guangdong 144-hour visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong or Macao SAR, and Guangxi 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups of ASEAN countries will also be temporarily suspended. Entry with diplomatic, service, courtesy or C visas will not be affected. Foreign nationals coming to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs may apply for visas at Chinese embassies or consulates. Entry by foreign nationals with visas issued after this announcement will not be affected.

The suspension is a temporary measure that China is compelled to take in light of the outbreak situation and the practices of other countries. China will stay in close touch with all sides and properly handle personnel exchanges with the rest of the world under the special circumstances. The above-mentioned measures will be calibrated in light of the evolving situation and announced accordingly.

Their lock down is really full lock down there cuz people cannot go out or really restricted movement cuz enforcer are out there to ensure.

As for other provinces, the virus still out there definitely but cuz people are high alert and more cautious now so the spread won't be large scale. China gave the virus to other countries but now other countries is giving it back to China. So they are focusing on imported case like Singapore.

Don't think so .bro.foreigners are temporarily barred from entering china as of 28 March 2020 .but I understand foreigners are allowed to leave china.so it is one way traffic. You can leave but you can't enter once you leave.just the same with Malaysia. China foreign ministry has not given a exact time frame as to when the ban will be lifted

Before the current ban on foreigners. China subjected all foreign arrivals to 14 days quarantine. That already eats up your first 14 days in china .when you return to your home country from China. You have to be quarantined for another 14 days.😕total time spent in quarantine is 28 days.china is also trying to stop their own citizens from returning from overseas to prevent second wave of coronavirus infections 😉
