I usually go on wkends though, so the lineup remaining are the not pretty ones left, so isnt rly an issue, when the pretty ones are done with customers, sme dont reach the sofa area before the mummy rushes them to the next customer. I usually wait n drink first until i see a pretty one and try to get the mummy to bring her. If not usually the mummy will bring u a girl again n again until either u or her are sian enough to either accept the girl or that im not interested.

On a side note, i went to classic spa yesterday, same situation, no wl sitting at the sofas, what i heard from her was that the clubs can remain open but no imports and those that do narcs are not allowed to work. Dont know how true but i didnt see any imports there when i went which is different from usual. Then again ieent relatively early at abt 3 so cant rly advise on that.

I would never go to Hotel Classic in Jakarta on a weekend night. Too much smoke and too many locals. I'd rather go to Orchard Towers in Singapore. Not as crowded and better service in my hotel.

During the week is a different matter. Hotel Classic during the week before 7pm is great.

Hmm hmm ... did you check with ur fren how much is the damage? In JKT, the damage is very siong for cheonging in KTV. Only good and economical at the HCs or those strip clubs.

I did the attached bedroom thing at Sands karaoke once. Very nice and very fun, but extremely expensive.

Attached bedroom in KTV is more for locals who cannot/will not takeout due to privacy concerns.

For us visitors, i don't really care about bedroom in KTV, i care about the bedroom in my HOTEL!!! lol

Stay around central jkt as per what another bro has suggested. But do take note the traffic around there during daytime to at least 9pm at night can be quite bad. Personally I like to stay near Gajah Mada (grand mercure jakarta harmoni to be precise)... nearby there's Malio (5 mins walk??) Decent hotel and you can always tell the security guard/hotel staff where u want to go and they will inform the bluebird taxi driver.

For newbies, try to always take a taxi frm point A to point B no matter how near it could be. It's not gonna cost you alot of money. Safety is the number one priority here. Always keep your cool and sometimes even though they take a longer way... it's not really gonna cost us that much.. maybe additional 10~20k (equiv sgd $1~$2)

Most of the clubs have some staffs that could speak a little bit of english.. just make sure you have internet connection / google translate on hand in case they do not understand u.

Do take note that when you try to take taxis after midnight around Kota area, most of them will not turn on the meter esp when they see that you are foreigner. Some will try to ask for alot of money, but from experience.. do not pay more than 50k rupiah if your hotel is within 15-20mins travel time from your clubbing venue. Again, try to stick to bluebird whenever possible.

Lastly, always prepare lotsa loose change with u (5k, 10k, 20k rupiah notes) and use them to tip the waiters, bellboy, security guard etc. A little tip goes a long way and it will make them remember you better if you intend to go back again. Try not to spoil the mkt and tip using 100k (I did that on my first trip to jkt years back).. People wont really appreciate and will try to fleece you instead.

Just to share some experience from trying out all these wechat massages.. there was once I stopover in jkt on a friday night and turns out all clubs were closed due to religious purpose (its not a holiday though) and dam I was so disappointed.

So I started searching for these wechat massage, most of them will ask for your name n hotel room number (so that they can verify its genuine). Indeed most of the photos provided are not real but I did managed to get one thats true to the photo given.

What I did was.. i just massage the same to a few that interests me.. and I'll tell them, if its not the same person as on photo, I will not pay them any rejection money. Then just try to liase 2 or 3 different massage "accounts" and have them come in intervals of 10mins difference etc.

What happened for me was, 1st one came.. with a "mamasan" looking lady.. but end up its no where near the photo given. So i just told them off and shut the door (they wont dare to create trouble if you're staying at decent 4star-5star hotels).. so waited for 2nd one.. arrived.. again looks different. So I didnt even bother opening the door. After knocking/ringing the door bell a while, she left. Then the "agent" msg me via wechat and I just told him/her that its different girl so im not gonna waste time or pay any rejection $$. Finally the last one came, looks 90% similar to the photos thus i finally let her in. The massage was so so... even though its supposed to be no ++, they will still offer hj at minimum. DC... 250k rp for 1.5hrs massage + 150k for hj.

So unless you are really out of choices... just go to clubs to get your job done. Cheers~

Most people thought it was just another one of the periodic "sweeps" by the Gov't to flex its muscles, acquire more $$kickbacks from these 'institutions', and make it appear to the public they are trying to clean up the city with some news footage of raids etc. However, this was over 3 years ago, and since then, not a single peep as everything has been driven out of sight and underground. It is clear now that Changping is closed for business, and it will NEVER return to the way it was. ChangPing was one of the ugly "black marks' to the new Chinese gov't, and as it was gaining an international reputation for sin, the new gov't wanted to eradicate it before it achieved the infamy of Thailand, Amsterdam, etc.

So those that think things will return back to the same way it was in Jakarta, I beg to differ. The gov't is clearly headed in the direction of 'cleaning' up the city, and not letting it get more out of control. Until we see a new RLD, or new Alexis / Malio / Classic type establishment open its doors, not sure how you could disagree. I think it's only a matter of time. It may take a few years, a decade, or perhaps two, but it will happen sooner or later. Sorry for delivering the bad news.

In the meantime to all here, enjoy your time in Jakarta while it lasts, because you never know when the ride will end. And I also suggest everyone to keep a low profile in Jakarta, and not post too many egregious stories here about Jakarta, as this website IS monitored by the Indo gov't and we shouldn't provide more reasons for them to speed up their plans, or overtly draw more negative attention which they are trying to avoid. Jakarta does not want to be known as the next Bangkok to the international community.

Bro lost99, I still have hopes in the indo govt. Ultimately for the fact that they do not have a more unified voice per PRC govt. In Indo, there's many political parties but in PRC, there's only one.

So let's all hope for the best and yeah, chiong while it lasts.
