Agree Toyoko inn rooms are small.
Another popular choice, Sun & Moon hotel, just open, their rates not bad and nice rooms.
Actually for $30 - $40 usd can get a nice spacious hotel room just 10mins - 15 mins away from Nagaworld.

Reason Nagaworld being a popular choice, mainly cos of the location, entertainment value (Darling, F club, Club 88, Casino), restaurants all in one. I would say its mainly much convenience for first timer coming to Phnom penh.
Nagaworld 2 is coming up just right beside Nagaworld.

For those holding Nagaworld casino "Golden edge rewards" card. Just email them and ask for member rates (should be $55- $65 usd). Definitely cheaper than Agoda cos of the service fees and tax.
Vip floors mainly playing baccarat, if one roll high in main hall, junkets(there are many off duty vip croupier/junket hanging around in the main hall) will approach and invite u to go up and play. Even offer cash upfront for u to play first.
Note. I strongly advise, do not take the offer.


Phnom penh entertainment area is like a circle, it pretty easy to navigate using google map. Some Google image might not be correct as shops/buildings changed fast.

FOOD.
Beside the popular known "tai tai" and "Xiao Xiao" Chinese restaurant, they are located just side by side each other. (Street - Preah Monivong Blvd)
Lao di fang Chinese restaurant is just opposite them. The new one is a building by itself located at "Mao tse toung blvd".

Many other good food restaurants/shops around, just don't have good Singapore food
closest comfort to it is Malaysian food.

Try the roadside local bbq food, cheap and delicious too. Each bbq plate is mostly $1.50 usd.
Cons, it looks abit dirty, litters all over the floor and sitting on small stools/tables by the road side. but I kinda like it, authentic Khmer way.


Sharing a BBQ supper joint I always frequent. Open till late night around 2am-3am or till sold out. Mostly Vietnamese customers.
Seafood BBQ shop run by Vietnamese Khmer lady boss. The staffs can speak simple English and mandarin if you want to order. Seafood is placed outside for u to choose. Be sure to ask the price when ordering.
Average spending for 4 pax is around $30 - $40 usd.

Most Vietnamese ladies working in phnom penh will know where is it.
Mention "Café darling" BBQ food, most will know where is it. (there's a café named "darling" just beside it, do not mistaken it as nagaworld darling darling club)

Good info again bro. You cannot be just a tourist..probably a resident or expat.

I agree abt Sun and Moon..jus that whenever I see internet rates it's never been cheap on those days I travel.

Abt Naga rewards..the amount I play only allows me free mineral water( which as you know anybody can get for free..haha).

Hope you can provide more insights such as good massage places( I only know Master Kang).

thanks for the information, will visit this Cafe Darling restaurant during my trip at the end of this month.

Normally I visit "xiao xiao" the food is almost similar to "Tai Tai" but less crowded.

I can recommend these 2 Chinese restaurants "Tow Houk /玖福 " and
" Hometown Bak Kut Teh "
" Tow Houk " signature dish is their duck (琵琶鸭）


" HomeTown " serves nice Bak Kut Teh and Chicken Curry.

Ate Bak Kut Teh once in "Hometown". Personally I dun like. Last time there is another place called "Sopia kitchen" in Monivong but they shifted to near airport. The BKT there is better.

There are quite a number of SG/MY or chinese restaurants in PP. Too bad, I dun have or keep the address.

I read good reviews about Master Kang but haven't been there yet.
I always go Lucky Eight massage, their masseurs are from china. Location directly opposite "Sofitel hotel entrance".
"Seeing hands" (blind massage) is quite good too.
Once awhile I visit "Aura spa" or "Bodia spa for body scrub and massage. (Try Bodia's couple room if have a lady companion)

For sensual massage, I do my monthly pilgrimage to hcmc for it

Bro, pardon my mistake. The BBQ joint is not called "Darling". I mention Café darling is because most people here know the place by the name.
The restaurant name is Nana.
Since u know "Xiao Xiao", its directly opposite, across the road, behind the building.

Hometown bak kut teh not bad, Malaysian herbal style. The boss Richard is a veteran in phnom penh, speaks fluent khmer, very friendly guy.

Tow Houk/玖福, surprise to see it being mention. Must be local or Chinese bring you there?
I'm a sucker for their duck, yum yum.
Sometimes they have exotic food too, if one is game enough to try pangolin, snakes, bats..etc. Pre booking/order is recommend.
They have solid infused 白酒 too , good for man

went to sky bar above Sun & Moon hotel last sunday night, nice restaurant lounge with good night view & it's walkable distance to bar street 136, quite near. these few nights kept raining in phnom penh, so not much crowd. and since i was there, i went to check out their hotel room, normal room quite decent but toilet a bit small, the staff told me this period the price is US$70++, & the bigger room on higher floor with balcony costs around US$100+, i think agoda or trivago can get cheaper rates.

there's a new massage place call Lalang Spa if u guys want a change. quite high class look, & new with hot & cold pool downstairs, i think around US$18 for a 2 hrs massage, was not bad for those who's tired of all the old massage place, i think it's a clean joint (no hanky panky & we never ask, haha..)
