Re: Premier League - Ronaldo saves subpar United
Hi brother Mafan.
Though we do not know each other, better not to bet so much. Just bet for fun its ok. 600 is way too much. Imagine if you are selling satay, how many sticks of satay you will need to sell? or if you are selling fish, how many fishes you will need to sell? Remember not to bet so much. I would prefer to give that money to my mother if I have 600 to bet. Imagine the joy and happiness she will be feeling. Priceless. So remember this piece of advise |

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours
Man Utd v Bolton: Preview Goalkeeper Ben Foster is on course to keep his place in the Manchester United team when Bolton visit Old Trafford tomorrow. Edwin van der Sar's groin problem is likely to keep him out again and although Tomasz Kuszczak is available after serving a one-match ban Foster's excellent performance on his debut against Derby should persuade Sir Alex Ferguson to keep faith with the 24-year-old. Meanwhile, Ferguson insists the Easter Sunday clash against Liverpool will not deflect his side from their immediate task of seeing off Bolton's challenge on Wednesday. Ferguson said: "There are big games coming up and Liverpool is one of them, especially when you consider Chelsea are playing Arsenal on the same day. "But when you see what happened at Derby on Saturday, not taking our chances, you realise you can't take anything for granted. Sure, there are big weekends ahead, but the other matches are just as important. "If we perform well and take our chances then we'll win the match against Bolton. But it's important we respect our opponents. "Some of our football recently has been terrific and there's good penetration in the team. It's encouraging that we're making so many chances - perhaps the forwards just need to relax a little in front of goal. Then the goals will come.'' United are level on points with Arsenal, with superior goal difference, and the Bolton match is their game in hand on the Gunners, so slip-ups at this stage of the season will be immensely costly. Bolton are also one of the few teams to have beaten United this season, courtesy of a Nicolas Anelka goal at the Reebok in November. Ferguson said the Wanderers would miss Anelka's goals now he is at Chelsea but the fact they have been dragged back into the battle against relegation means United will face an even stiffer test. "They are fighting for survival and any team fighting for survival have to fight. That's the name of the game,'' said the United manager. "I thought they had got themselves clear of trouble but in this league if you lose a couple of games you are back in the mix. "Everyone expects Derby to go down, Fulham are the next one and then it is a scramble. You've got a lot of teams down there. "Obviously they are missing Nicolas Anelka's goals but they have Kevin Davies up front and he will do everything he possibly can to unsettle us. "He's a physical lad and we have to deal with that but I think Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have the height and ability to do that.'' Bolton manager Gary Megson has two significant injury concerns for the daunting trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford. Kevin Nolan faces a late test on a sore back while Gary Cahill is battling to be fit after suffering a bruised foot in Sunday's defeat by Wigan. With goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen out of contract this summer he may have played his last game for the club after being ruled out for the remainder of the season with a back injury. The Finn has already turned down a new contract offer and is set to end his 11-year spell at the club. But Megson said: "Jussi is finished for the season. But hopefully his Bolton career is not finished.'' Ali Al Habsi will continue to deputise when Megson's men seek to erase the memory of Sunday's dismal defeat to Wigan in a daunting trip to Old Trafford. Megson was furious with his side's lack of effort at the JJB Stadium which paved the way for a precious win for the 10-man Latics and plunged the Trotters back into the relegation zone. Megson said: "We let ourselves down badly and we've got to get a response from everybody we've got to go there and do what we were doing before the Wigan game, which is always giving it our best shot. "It was a poor performance and a shocking result for us at Wigan, but we were masters of our own downfall. "I can accept it if at times we don't pass it well or dribble well or whatever. But we just didn't get up for the game, which is something I hope never to see again.''

Premier League - Mascherano off as United go six clear
Manchester United took full advantage of Javier Mascherano's dismissal to cruise to a 3-0 win over arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Wes Brown put the hosts ahead before Mascherano was sent off for a second yellow card just before half time. Cristiano Ronaldo then netted his 34th goal of the season with just over ten minutes remaining before substitute Nani completed the scoring two minutes later. The result puts United six points clear at the top of the Premier League table - at least until full-time in Arsenal's clash with Chelsea later on today. The role Steve Bennett would play at Old Trafford had featured heavily in pre-match sparring between the two camps, and the referee's name is certain to feature in most of the post match analysis after Liverpool were reduced to ten men. Mascherano had been booked for a wild lunge on Paul Scholes as early as the 11th minute and his subsequent protestations over the booking showed the Argentine knew he would now be walking a tightrope for the remainder of the match. But if that was the case, he soon appeared to forget when, just before half time, he received his marching orders for needless dissent following the booking of Fernando Torres. The Spaniard had been shown yellow for protesting too loudly over a Scholes challenge, prompting Mascherano to race over to the scene and deliver his verdict on the situation. It was not the first time the Liverpool midfielder had been in referee Steve Bennett's ear during the first half, and with the official clearly in no mood to take any nonsense, he promptly brandished a second yellow, quickly followed by red. In the light of this week's calls to stamp out disrespectful behaviour towards officials, Mascherano's actions were the last thing the Football Association wanted on such a high profile day and his exit from the pitch, when he had to be restrained by team-mates, will only have deepened that that sense of disappointment. Liverpool had started the game well, enjoying the better of possession during the opening stages, although it was United who fashioned the better chances. Wayne Rooney - one of eight changes made by Alex Ferguson following the midweek win over Bolton - squandered two decent chances early on, Pepe Reina in the Liverpool goal twice making saves. It proved to be a strange afternoon for Reina, who was guilty of some atrocious kicking and uncertain handling early on yet he still managed to pull off some tremendous stops after the break to keep the scoreline respectable. The source of the opener could not have been more unlikely. Brown - still yet to commit his future to United - put the hosts into the lead in the 34th minute with just his second league goal of a career which has spanned 12 seasons. Considering his contract situation, it is unclear whether Brown will score another goal in United's colours, but if he does, it is unlikely to be a more important one. The England defender rose above Martin Skrtel and ahead of Reina to meet Rooney's cross and settle any nerves that may have existed in the United side. Unsurprisingly, the sending off then changed the dynamic of the game, and with a goal and a man to the good, United never really looked like letting the three points slip. Further chances fell to Ronaldo, Rooney again and Carlos Tevez with his first touch after having been introduced with Nani in the 73rd minute, before Ronaldo headed the host's second to effectively seal the win. Nani applied the icing on United's cake on 81 minutes, firing past Reina after latching onto a cute Rooney through pass. The result hammered a final nail into Liverpool's title hopes as their impressive five-game winning streak was brought to an end. United, on the other hand, are in a strong position to retain their title.
