I actually have similar question.
I was looking at staying at nice hotel however did not want to bring company over. Do you have any recommendations or does anyone also book a play hotel only? I hotel that you might not stay at but you will bring your company?

First time back in Batam since Covid, went to Octo today, pricing a bit different, was told 376k for massage and 2x HJ (cannot choose girl) and 800K or something for Gold only FJ (Not really paying attention lol), and 1,173K for Plat only FJ also. Not sure if the price will be different for the regular bros or those who can speak bahasa hahahaha, haven't been there so many years also not sure operating style change or not

Had the girls parade and picked P09, think her name was Helen. Service was good in my opinion, if you're into girls who try to suck your tongue out of your mouth can try.

hard to answer you because everyone has a different go to or requirements (like pool or no pool etc etc)

I always stay at
Batam Marriott (for the nice executive lounge & breakfast for elites)
Four Points (Smoking Room, for accumulation of marriott nights)

Otherwise
Ibis Batam (has a nice rooftop bar, smoking rooms)
Artotel
Aston Nagoya City Hotel (google nest, smoking rooms)
favehotel Nagoya (google nest, smoking rooms)
Asialink Hotel by Prasanthi (pool)
da Vienna Boutique hotel (rooms with tub)

there might be better options others have.

Yes doing the Marriott for my stay but wanted something close and cheap as a room to take company and have fun in—any recommendations on a hotel for this purpose? Do others do something similar?

I understand that there will be an increase of ferry terminal sea port tax fee w.e.f 01 Sep 2023.

Currently tickets already is about $73 two way still will increase base on the sea port tax?

I was told that if you book tickets online to and fro, once you have the e return tickets you can access the auto gate. Is it true?

The lady in traditional cloth in the immigration told me both Singapore and Malaysia passport can just use the auto gate when leaving Batam. Not sure about when entering.
I always use it without any problem, both buying online and from the counter also can for me.
