Then business boom and overflows to the odd number houses with cheongster entering via the front gate. Cheongster used to shuffle between these 2 areas. Thinking back my first encounter more then 27 yrs ago, i only recalled PT or Banana Leg had 3xlanes of 2 story houses. Btw, i think there were shops of different natures, so don't walk into the wrong house.

Back then, i recalled walk from Little India, usually in the evening and very packed along the streets. That period Big W City was in process of going down, what i will never forget my brothers. That will be pink toilet papers, and got to write this down b4 it goes away from my old memory.

About 20 yrs ago, i pretty much believe a period of few yrs, PT cease business due to major upgrading. In 1of the houses, cannot recalled which 1, 2 aunty WLs were packing probably calling it a night. Don't know what the hell happens, they shouted and pointed to passingby.

They wave their hands, telling people to go away. I think was in Canto, something liked: "See what see? No more allreally. Walk away lah!"

I would like to extend my thanks to the Bros here that contributed to the the directions to get to petain. It has really helped a newbie like me to get to petain. So for newbies, stop waiting already, just follow the instructions and u cant get lost

Thank You TS for the guide. GL seems scary nowadays (AV Raids) Time for me to change venue.

Here is a mini-guide for those taking MRT to Petain (For those who are unfamiliar with the Farrer Park area & layout of exits):

Step 1: Alight at Farrer Park MRT Station

Step 2: Follow the exit that leads to City Square Shopping Mall

Step 3: Once you're inside City Square Mall, walk to the main entrance (there should be benches on your left , a mini-playground on your right and a main road straight ahead)

Step 4: Immediately after you exit the automatic doors, walk all the way to your right (towards the direction of the mini-playground) until you reach a side road (the same place where the loading/unloading bay & shuttle bus alighting point of City Square Mall are)

Step 5: Walk across the side road and climb over the railing facing a small narrow alley (that is Petain). Be careful when crossing the railings.

Alternatively, you can choose to cross the side road, walk towards the main road on which the public buses travel until you see a dirt footpath. Walk along the footpath and you'll see old-looking houses and a large altar. Walk through the narrow alley (on the left is a house and on the right is a fence) and you'll reach banana lane
