If u want to continue with the topic karma, educate others about karma go ahead. It is open public forum, say what we want. lol. You are correct to say that. All these KTV or province gal will ask you to set up the following types of business:
1. Cafe
2. Massage
3. eatery

as they do not have any other skills. My bx is from province, so asked me to set up cafe and eatery before. both close shop after some time. Lost quite a bit. When it comes to investments, they do not have the knowledge. Better find out more information by yourself.

these skill are good. Morning wake up got coffee to drink. Night sleep got people masssge. Everyday got meal to eat.

That cafe only lasted for a few months. 3 months after the cafe opened, i had my spinal surgery done at HCM. My wife got to take care of me in Singapore and the relative we put in charge `makan' our money. So close it. A few samsters were there.

These kampong gals don't know a bit about investments. I remember i was thinking of investing in terrace houses in Singapore in mid to late 2008. I went to Sembawang (near the park) and viewed some new 99 year lease hold terrace houses. Properties were down and these new terrace houses are going for a reasonable price. I was offered 1.25m by the developer for a corner terrace show house, its fully renovated. My bx keep objecting, giving all sorts of reasons. Say this no good, say that no good. Finally, we bought a corner terrace in the east for around 900k (also 99 years leasehold). 3 years later in 2012, we sold the corner terrace for around 1.5m while the sembawang terrace changed hands at 2.6m. In 2006, i was looking for a 5 room resale flat in either CCK or Bukit Panjang. We went to view a 5 room opposite Bukit Panjang Plaza. It was going for around 290K . Looking at the location, i was ready to sign the Option to Purchase. My bx again, made a lot of noise , say this no good, say that no good. Finally we bought a 5 room design and built at CCK for 310K. 5 years later when we sold it off in 2012, our design and built 5 room only sold for 442k while the same 5 room at Bukit Panjang was going for almost 600K due to the up and coming MRT station. Think of the amount i could have made if i stick to my own decisions. These gals view things from their village perspective, totally irrelevant when it comes to investments in developed nations. After that, when i invest in properties, i make the final decision.

I dont have experience with viet ppl but have the chance to speak with a few viet student in singapore. Some came from family with better finance.

A few said that their parents are doing business like our singapore loanshark. Lending money out and earning interest . They took item like house, motorbike or even mobilephone as mortage depend on the amount loan. Best is they do not need license. Seem to be lucrative biz there.

Wow u very good husband...can listen to bx advice.....I didnt know bx also can make alot of noise one.....2nd thought of getting a bx now...

some of the rich families in Vietnam will send their children to overseas to study...Sinkie land is a favorite becos of close proximity...PM LEE in a past National Day Rally speech highlighted a VB who headed the foreigner student council at NUS...

the super rich ppl in Vietnam usually have connections with ministers or army generals...they take most of the lucrative biz...example current PM SIL owns the MacDonald franchise...SIL was an American graduate...

many of the super rich children will have to return and the parents will arranged marriage for the children to Vietnam equal status socialite families...no children dare to disobey the super rich parents becos their finances will be cut if they dun return...this despite whether they graduate or not...there are some sad love story of sinkie men and super rich daughters here...you can search and read them in this thread...

Loansharking biz is very lucrative...with 15-20% interest rate per month...the largest ops are run by the Cong An...knew an ex district chief who operated one of the biggest loansharking biz in HCM and his own province...who dare to hide from CA...
