Bro lfc78, I can’t help but agree with you. If you play with fire, you will get burn. Considering the consequences of one wrong move during a brief moment of pleasure, is it worth taking the risk in the first place?

It is almost emotionally draining for someone to know about their HIV status, and to break that news to their loved ones, it is like cutting your flesh off your body, pound by pound. Heart-wrenching and extremely painful indeed.

alf98, thanks for your posting. Being infected with the HIV virus does not equal “immediate death” now, with treatment of drug cocktails available for those infected. However, treatment comes with a price, in terms of both costs and side-effects.

For those who don’t follow the treatment religiously (meaning popping pills daily for the rest of your life), they can develop resistances, and will need to be on new drug combinations, and when all else fails, the inevitable onset of AIDS comes, and it is not a good way to go…

Survivability depends really on a lot of factors…
