Haha....mayb i were lucky. Anyway it's a long story. My first boss was a very high ranking police officer...He can speak very good chinese. i used to be one of his runner. It is through him i came to know of many people....black and white. It is also through him that i met my second boss. Went over to Hanoi and worked for him for 2 years....recently just quited and came back to Saigon.
All my 8 years here, i have 3 bosses, one after another, all from Hanoi.

All i can say is that i am lucky and maybe they felt comfortable with me and i stayed royal and committed to them. Northern rich people can pay....if they like you and trust you. Of course they only wants to make use of your strength for their business. That's all. For me, i were lucky as along the way, they treated me like a younger brother.

Anyway...i were very active in my seond to fifth year in Vietnam. Apart from my work, i also involved in some other things which expat cannot settle their problem in Vietnam. I use my connection and earn commission from it. That is why i came across many stories invovled Singaporean and Malaysian. Some i really pity them while some are just asking for it. It's a complicated stories lah.

As for now, just working for my 3rd Hanoi boss. this boss is a bit slow and steady type. Not so much of pressure but he is a fucking rich man!!!

Like i mentioned, i were very lucky then....the most important thing is you must stay royal and committed to them. To them, money and face are number 1 factor!
My last 8 years are like a runner in a marathon! Running and running all the time. Only rewarding is in-between two side, i make a small commission from the request party. Apart from these, i also have to take care of their other business as well.

Can break down how u spent 5k USD??? I spent avg per mth was about 1-1.5k USD when I was in Hanoi. My modern 1 yrs old condo rental in Nguyen Chi Thanh with 2 rooms was 800 USD, paid by my company.

I spent on roughly.... btw this was about 7 yrs ago.

1) mobile, 20 USD
2) utilities, 50 USD
3) internet, 30 USD
4) transportation, 200USD
5) food 300 USD
6) KTVs, bars, pubs, 500 USD
7) misc 200 USD

I still can't figure out how u spent 5k??? U every month donate to casino. Good food every meal also boring... once in awhile will eat street food which was about 1-3 USD. I remember a delicious Pho Bo near my condo was about 20 or 25k VND.

U were lucky to have a Vietnamese to employ u, paying u 5k USD, btw u dun have to pay income tax??? For me, I am employed by SG company, paying SG tax.

Hm....how to breakdown...guessed mine involved 4 persons. My wife, son and her mother as well.
Of course not everyday eat good food lah...but i like to go to Chinese restaurant. Main reason is i cannot adapt to Vietnamese food even until today. Only a few dishes.

Yes, i did highlight that i were very lucky to be employed by a Vietnamese. Income tax, my boss settled for me. He has his way of declaring lesser on the tax.

Maybe you dun know my scope of work...paying me USD 5k is worth his money. I have to take care of his ENT business. 1 disco, 1 pub, 1 hotel & 2 restaurant. On top of that, need to help out his wife business. But the main business is runner. Sort of complicated. Expat need help in their business, i'm the middle man between expat and my boss. Every closed deal i earn at least 5% of amount. That will be my side income.

Recently; I heard from my friend that 1 Ignorance; stupid and idiotic Singaporean gave $100K to a vb which he know her for 3 months. This guy A doesn't know that this vb already had a boyfriend in Singapore. They had been together for several years. Because this guy are able to accommodate her requirements; she ditched her previous lover (who had been together for 5 years). Why in this world there is such people who willing to give S$100K to a vb so easily. Pussy got Diamond also no need to give so much.
