Those geniune healer or bomoh are not interested in monetary gains in this world. They want merits or rewards in the hereafter. Thats why they live humbly in deep forest or rural area. There are some who dont insist in payment. Up to us to pay him for his services. But there are some who may ask u to fast to "compensate" for his service.

Yup! There were time i witness myself, the Guru/Master asked his patients to fast instead of payment in cash. Nevertheless most the those who seek his help donate as a token of appreciation.

That means there are "people or inhabitants" there. Just that we cant see them. Really missed the chance to witness it.
