this is common worldwide , i'm surprised they even let you leave Singapore with less than 6months on your passport.

When I book any flights , I only enter the bare minimum details and passport details are not one of them.

the six month thing never happened to me, but saw enough people being grilled .. ....

Airline don't care, and Singapore immigration don't care .. as I remember, the arriving country has decision, and if you convince them it is personal reason/emergency etc, allowed .. not a compulsion per se ..

Well,here would be someone in dmia(philippine Clark side)more than willing to help u even if your passport is less then so months?but u need to have some sg$ for souvirnir to standby.any other bro can confirm this?

Rub&Buah: seriously, dont' even think of it .. you may have a sour experience ..

If your old passport has six months left, better to use it first .. before collecting the new one ..

You can step into the country, but another officer can always watch it, and then drag you down .. not worth the risk ..

I made the mistake of driving into JB with 5months+ of my passport left by mistake and I just act blur when I realised it. Sg customs did ven bother to check but the JB side didnt allow me in till I 'help him' but after I stall for long time at the booth causing a traffic jam , he allowed me in reluctantly.

So , I think officially they can allow if they want ; citing urgent business but I wont try it again.

Better not to use a passport with less than 6months , no point taking a risk. Skali go there and have to take the next plane back ; holiday ruined.

I agree with you la , go cheong do it properly , no point in looking for illegal activities to jepodise you trip. Want to play with fire , do it with the girls.

I saw this Indian guy, arriving in Manila, on tourist visa .. told the officer 'I am exploring some business .. ' and the officer is like "your visa is tourist, not allowed to business .. please step aside, we may send you back .. " and no kidding, I saw the guy being led off ..

Freaks. . and they want tourists into their country ..

My one and only experience. My auntie in Tangkak had shifted to a new house but I dunno the new place so my cousin working in Sg drove me there during the weekend. I did not realise my passport left 5 months to expiry until called into room by the JB immigration. My cousin helped to psycho the officer and gave RM$50 kopi duit to let me through. We were allowed to proceed after payment.

The problem came when we were returning to SG the next evening. At JB side of immigration, I was called into office again. This time it was a senoir officer who confiscated my passport and say alot of nonsense, even threatening to charge me in court. He offered to settle if I pay the compound fine of RM$1K. It was oredi past midnight on a sunday night and my cousin & myself dint have so much cash on us. Finally after much bargaining we gave him all our ringgit (abt $120) + Sgd$200.

Ever since that incident, I always made sure my passport is in order whenever I travel now.

I guess it's true for gros who share abt the passoport expired thingy.unless u are left with no choice I won't suggest to try it.

Once,me,my friends were going to batam for a decent trip.we book from the tour agent. Os it was more than 10ppl so it's was more better to book from tour agent singapore.only the day before the trip the agent discover one of my friends gal friend passport was going to expired in 4moths time.and they agent say already booked &confirm so no cancel policy.

Another expert goes batam on regular base told her,just go ahead but prepare 50$ sg.end up we went.got stop at sekupang side & the control officer say she cannot enter cos her passport was less than 6 months.his bf ask is there something we can do abt it?they were lead into the office 20mins later they walk out and was even escort by the officer to the tour bus & a enjoy your holiday.what happen in the office?

1chinese in charge,think he is the tua ago just ask ,u got 30sgd?my friend gf took out the cash immediate & everything was resolve with speed.

Just don't try it unless u are left with no choice when in Philippine,they pri e to pay might be a lot higher with the risk to be send home on the next available flight.
