I just got fleeced this morning when I ordered a chicken rice in a coffee shop in Hatyai and did not ask the price. True enough, my plate cost me 90 baht compared to market price of 40-45 baht. Buyer beware.

This time i stuck to tipping 20p at the pubs n girls were ok with it. No black face like my oct trip.

Yeah bro agree with u. Must always ask n agree price first.

Totally agree its not about the money. Most of us Singaporeans can pay.

So its not about the money.

Its about paying the right price, not getting fleeced and spoiling market.

I was busy with photo assignment in Penang and now resting in Hatyai. Will be in AC Jun 27 n back to Singapore July 15.

My friends who are waitresses told me that tips are normally 5-20p with asians being more generous. Some don even tip. My take on tipping now is 20p for a happy service and 10p is my norm.
At times I will push the tip into the pocket of the waitress and that's to say that the tip is hers and not to common pool.

I have few questions here, how much is the drink for non alcoholic and alcoholic ?...and how much is the LD ?... Is the barfine includes the Bonking and how many shots we permits ?
If im going for barhop and searching for the ladies to barfines, is it necessary for me to pay LD drinks everytime i go to a bar?...anyway this trip is a bit budget...sorry for asking many question.

Well, approx, in Phil, beer is 30 peso to 60 peso (1 $ to 2$) and LD can be 100 peso to 120 peso .. unless you are raving mad to ring the bell .. or do something like a sticker on your face saying 'screw me up, I am stupid' ..

Barfine, 1,000 peso for low end to 3,000 peso for top end (i seriously don't see any diff .. )
