Liverpool Football Club would like to put on record our regret over recent media speculation regarding Southampton Football Club and player transfers between the two clubs.

We apologise to the owner, board of directors and fans of Southampton for any misunderstanding regarding Virgil van Dijk.

We respect Southampton's position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player

Oh man really depressed, ominous times appear to lurk over this summer transfer window

Ok. Thanks for the correction. Ah Gong heard that the Sotong club is asking for 75 million pound now . Liverpool had apologised and said that they are no longer interested in this player . Before even the transfer window such a PR disaster for FSG and Klopp .

Best solution is just keep Sakho. This is better than risking £20m to buy an unproven defender since the Van Dick deal is off.

What an unnecessary embarrassment. Especially during a period where we should be firmly looking to sign players.

We are up there in terms of powerful club or brand or revenue but constantly fail to deliver titles. It is just a matter of time the fans turn their back on the management.

The transfer business for Liverpool doesn't seemed to look promising . Now most of Klopp's first choice are not coming to Liverpool .Those that Liverpool is still talking to are asking for higher fees even Liverpool meet the release clause . I hope Klopp will keep Jon Flanangan and Joe Gomez in the squad for the time being until new players come in .
