IMHO - it makes sense. Go for the 2 main trophies namely Premier League or Champions League.

When FSG took over Liverpool they kicked Kenny Dalgish out after he failed to deliver the BPL title even though he won the English Cup. The Americans claimed winning the domestic cups is not good enough for a club like Liverpool.

So I believe JK's brief for next season is to bring home either the BPL or CL.

JK and some members of the Liverpool squad paid a visit to the Wong Tai Sin Temple to seek blessings for the coming season. Good to know that Klopp and the boys also believe in divine inspiration and fengshui.

On a side note..... this year the Wong Tai Sin fortune tellers predict that the Orange coloured 3rd strip is favourable to Liverpool like a rising sun and Liverpool will do well in games where they wear this strip.

However the away white/green strip gives out negative energy and makes the team resemble a group of mourners in funeral garb..... so expect Liverpool to struggle in games away from home.

The fiery red home jersey is the foundation of Liverpool and Liverpool will be like a fortress at home.

It is pure marketing for the Premier League and the trophy means nothing.
The real deals starts on 12 August.
No more lame excuses such as it is only the first game or there are still more matches to play.
Stop all these rubbish and show the fans what you can do.

This Asia trophy is to break Klopp's jinx in cup finals.. Previously Klopp had lost in all cup finals with Dortmund n Pool.
So winning this trophy @ least has some significance for Klopp n Pool..
