Re: SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR
Not sure. Its the only 5 star hotel i stayed in during covid era.
You can always send email or give a call to the hotel to ask. Would think the service for 5 star hotels are better. |

Re: SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR

Re: SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR
Pre departure PCR flying into Thailand is not needed from April.
Pre departure ART (ATK) flying into Singapore - MedConsult 500baht, professionally done, fast and efficient, as recommended previously.

Re: SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR
As per SafeTravel website for VTLs:
Travellers who are eligible for VTL (Air), and have obtained their Vaccinated Travel Pass if needed, should refer to this VTL (Air) traveller checklist for the full list of requirements to complete VTL (Air) travel. Travellers will need to undergo the following COVID-19 tests: (1) Pre-departure COVID-19 PCR, professionally administered ART, or self-administered and remotely supervised by an ART provider in Singapore providing such services taken within 2 days before departure for Singapore (2) Unsupervised self-administered ART using self-procured authorised ART kits within 24 hours of arrival in Singapore. Travellers are required to report their test result via https://www.sync.gov.sg before proceeding with their activities in Singapore.

Swap at 1pm and get result around 9pm. Turnaround still ok lah. Now can extend for another 2 nights. Info for bros here My test is within the hotel itself. During check in registration, I was issued with a WiFi slip containing the room number but will not be issued a card restricting you from going out of the room. After registration, I was told to proceed to a certain level. That level is meant for PCR testing. Once you reach, someone will be there to guide you to the test station. After that, one of the staff there will bring you to your room since you do not have any key card. Once in the room, I perform a self ART. It is negative. At least I have some indication. After this just wait. Wait and wait till result is out.

Re: SHA+ Hotel and 1st night RT-PCR
Does anyone know if a recovery memo is needed when traveling to Thailand? Cos I recently recovered from covid, but after isolation I still didn't get a recovery memo. Called MOH but they say now most people don't get recovery memo?

10 days is the min. Different hospitals might apply the quarantine period differently but it ranges 10-14 days. If you dont find yourself a hospital to admit, they can find for you. But it may take up to days and your 10 day quarantine only start counting from the day you are admitted, not the day you first got tested positive ![]() you may also have to pay upfront deposit to get admitted first. (100k-300k baht) Yup, the rules are much much more scary than the virus itself. |

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have seen youtube videos of chiongsters getting the virus and hid in the hotel till they no longer get a positive ART result. Took 10 days to recover but at least without the hefty hospital costs: https://youtu.be/MeoEKml39Bw?t=284 Will take this route if it happens to me (planning to stay there for a month). Problem comes if I get diagnosed in the last few days, then no way to hide.... ![]() |
