Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

When Robertson came he did not get into the first XI for some time. Perhaps this was because he had to get use to Klopp's style, technique and fitness of play first before finally being given a chance to shine over the long run. Ditto Fabinho and maybe Keita and even Shaqiri to some extent??

Hopefully they all bed in super fast because the big games are just around the corner. Ideally Fabinho and Keita should be in our starting XI midfield.

Btw Chelsea seem to have taken to Sarri-ball very fast. 4 for 4 together with us. Impressive. Like i said previously, we have been warned. Its going to be more than just City.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Good lesson n wake up call for AB. He just needed to clear the ball out of play and he paid for the mistake.

Still a win and 3 points won.

Alisson: "I won't be stupid to make the same mistake. That is part of my game but I will not be arrogant enough to say that I will keep doing it."

BTW another good interesting game this evening, BR vs SG in Scottish league

I am fine so long Liverpool keep winning 3 points.

If Liverpool can afford to have expensive players on bench and still win 3 poinst each game then why not.

Sooner or later Liverpool will concede goal. Alisson save one and concede one due to his own howler.

Chelsea was the other team with 100% records. Tonight we will know if Watford or Spurs will remain 100%.

Man City kept pace.

Good to break for International and hopefully players come back healthy. Good luck to Lallana and please dun come back injured missing entire season again.

WOW!!! Look at all the clueless WORLD CLASS PUNDEHS who think they are pundits!!! Some need dick slaps.

The team is doing a good job scoring 12 points. Leading the table as the break starts is positive!!! Keep the nice job and focus on the next few big matches.

YNWA.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Based on 2nd half performance, Pool is not good enough for the title.
The midfield trio of Wini Milner n Hendo were outrun in the 2nd half, Firmino kept losing the ball n Salah was a different player compared to last season. Good thing was Pool managed to hang on to the 3pts.

What Pool couldn't do was to bring their game to the next level. That would be burying the game in the 2nd half by hitting couple more goals. This is something which Mcity is able to do frequently. All too often we always see Pool struggling in the 2nd half hanging on to a lead.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

The real issue for me with the team is that we are not pressing effectively at the moment.

When that does not happen our midfield gets over/run at times. That happened a lot yesterday and I’m not sure whether some players are just tired and struggling or not. But that was the issue yesterday.

Watford remain 100% beating spurs. Looks like Watford is for real.

“Their decision making at times was atrocious but Klopp got his substitutions spot on as the introduction of Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita helped to steady the ship.”

Media have a field day reporting after matchday 4.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Tbh Liverpool, Chelsea and City have all not been playing well consistently but still winning(apart from City's draw at Wolves). Mark of potential champions perhaps? Bodes well for Liverpool provided it can up its game, particularly in Midfield and our front 3 get back to cracking in the goals together. Naturally dont wish the same good fortune for the other 2 clubs

Watford maybe the Leicester fairytale part 2 Hope not though!

Our trip to Wembley on the 14th is going to be a major test as Spurs would want to bounce back straight away.

As for Brendan Rodgers, really wish he bought Markovic from us since he once thought highly of him Looks like we are still stuck with this piece of deadwood as his Anderlecht transfer suddenly collapsed at the last minute. Seems like Lazar is doing a Winston Bogarde and staying on at Anfield for the high wages until his contract runs out at the end of this season

Oh yeah and gather Karius had an unconvincing debut for Besiktas. Pity Loris but glad he has left Anfield.

The next big news will come when Liverpool drop points.

Read how the media killed MU and JM.

Also Spurs this morning.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

A draw against Spurs would be a good result imo..
Hendo n Milner cannot play together cos the midfield looks very flat n 1 dimensional. Hope Klopp will put Sturridge n Shaq in the next starting line up. Firmino n Salah to be on the bench as they don't looked sharp of late.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Read this!!

Lazar Markovic is still a Liverpool player, this despite that the club agreed a cut-rate £2.9M fee with Anderlecht on August 31st that had the player travelling to Belgium to undergo his medical and everyone assuming the deal was done.

In the end, though, it fell through over personal terms and Markovic will now run down his Liverpool contract and leave on a free next summer. Neither his current club nor the one he looked to be signing for are happy about that.

“Our president and sports director did everything to convince him,” Anderlecht manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck said. “They waited until Liverpool lowered the price. They made a crazy effort. It’s his own fault that the deal fell through.”

Markovic is currently on £35k per week wages at Liverpool and in Belgium the average player makes around £5k per week. A player like Markovic, a valued target, might have been able to do better than average and earn £10k per week.

Over a year, that’s a loss of a little more than £1M for Markovic, who likely believes he can still make a career at a club like Anderlecht starting from next summer. But it will cost him a year of playing in what should have been his prime.

The pay cut he would have had to take isn’t insignificant, but Markovic is 24 years of age. He will be 25 next summer when he moves on. Running down his Liverpool contract seems an admission he will never then return to a big club.

An ambitious player with self-belief, at his age, would be looking to play—and looking to turn that playing time into re-establishing his once promising prospect status and earning a move somewhere better in a year or two.

A player who still believed he could be the star everyone expected him to be at 20 would have bet on himself taking a pay cut now to earn more again in a year or two. It appears he wasn’t confident in making that bet.
