RSM Lutong Bahay restaurant in Tagatay and think the Roxy Square one is better. Their Lumpia Shanghai and Telapia is good! Longanisa a bit not that good though.
And while we are on filipino food, the best example of rich filipino showing off is at 7107 flavour .. people turn up, pay 4 time or 5 time the price (imagine the same pricing like Rang Mahal for INdian food vs Little India's muthu curry or gayathari .. ) and the moment they finish, they disappear ..
A Bicol express was 22$ .. and almost everything 18$ plus or so ..

I am very sure the pretty Pinay girl at the SIA counter give me a very sweet smile when she saw me with a bags full of ensaymada when I check in. My experience tell me if you learn to appreciate Filipino food and bring the girls to eat, they love you more. Then put in a bit of effort to speak or bola bola them in tagalog, they will love you deep deep. Too deep sometime.
Frankly speaking I still don't like some filipino food like adobo etc. Either too sweet or sour or salty. Most filipino restaurants like Max or Aristocrat tastes like shit but the real authentic one is really good. The best I had in Philippines is actually in Puerto Princesa. heheehe

That why I never being to 7107 cause I rather eat it authentic for 1/4 the price in Manila. I go there if I meet a filipina PMET in Singapore and bring her for a nice dinner before going for the home run.
7107 too expensive or high class to bring the local bar girls or maids there. Better to bring them eat at Lucky Plaza. They actually will feel very uncomfortable instead if they go 7107. I heard sometime those Filipino Senators will go 7107 for dinner when they drop by with their mistresses. heeeee

That why I tried not to go eat singapore or our type of food there. sure disappointed. I have not been to ocean park to try the Makan Sutra there though. My all time fav restaurant in Manila is any Hap Chan Chinese restaurant. Like the porridge and wanton mee there. Next will be eating KFC actually. They have those type of mash potato sauce to dip which Singapore don't have. I also don't really like Kare Kare also...too rich for me..
If you like chocolate muffin, they have very very good muffin when I am at SM Makati. Can't remember the name, but my gf say it is famous in Ph.
Oh ya in Field Avenue time, my fav food is actually the Kebab next to Royal Amsterdam Hotel!! Cheap, quick and near to action. Open nearly 24 hours a day.

one other place to get good singapore food is banana leaf, in Robinson Malate and GB .. (I think I mention before)
Makansutra got some bad review, from Filipinos, who said "table arrangement not good", " spoons not right", "quantity not as expected" etc. etc.
Just ask them to fuck off and stick to filipino food..
I step in there after Ocean Park - if I remember, two year ago, the food not authentic but not bad .. Never go chance to go again, as far away .. especially strategic location behind the site of HK Bus drama
then again, when the filipinse it .. maybe the taste went downhill I guess ..
