Ok, this is my breakdown for retiring in pattaya now within the populated areas.
Of all the beautiful cities in Thailand, why u guys choose Pattaya? Anyway it is your choice. Maybe it is near to the all those AGG and sea.
If I want sea, Rayong, Huahin, Chaam. If I want alternate city with entertainment, Chiang Mai. If I want good weather with golf, Khao Yai. Many many beautiful cities in Thailand.

Not a mistake lah..... I was with The MilkMan there that night but I think he forgot to mention in his post that the girl was a model in the AGG and is on the highest tier of bar fine. Other girls were available for as low as 700 baht but quality is questionable.
Be more specific else heart attack.

No.... the normal bar fine here was 700baht + 2000baht (ST) / 3000baht (LT).... but when the lady who was with me told me she wants to go with me..... I asked the papasan to maitan..... that was when he dropped the bombshell that BF is 2500baht + 4000 for the girl.

you must be joking...... this must be a model pussy made of gold! 6500B is SGD250! Plus ladydrinks , airfare and hotel , I rather stay is sg and outcall a thai girl. Dont fall for the model crap , if an ugly man get interviewed and have his picture appear in a thai magazine ; the thais would make him dance in an agogo bar just to squeeze more money out of you ...... coz he's a model too!

Pattaya not too bad a choice la but with the inflation and the growth of the town and also thailand in general ; who knows what will happen in 5 years , not to even mention 25years. Too many variables to even think about it now.
Unless I strike minimum 600k in toto on monday...........

Bro, honestly speaking, i am not the sightseeing or scenery kind of fella or sea person. Unless i got a nice thai wife wif me by my side, then maybe i consider! lol....
Of cos, u are right, Patts is awesome coz i at night wont get bored and its cheaper than BKK lol...

U might want to try ask your Thai friends (those not working in Pattaya) will they want to retire in Pattaya? Listen to what they comment on Pattaya in general. As mentioned, it is up to individual preference. Some might like it cause when bored can go for a drink.
