Only question is;
is it a manufacturing defect? or merely poor maintaince?

The Airbus A380 is indeed a huge aircraft and it is new. Like all new equipment or system, they contain defect. The early reports tend to mention more on the Engine problems, and they are also reported cases of glitches here and there. I do know, to some details some of the problems, but they have been ironed out one after the other. We learn from mistake. It would take sometimes to bring down the defects to the absolute minimum.

Just like the Boeing 747 and the MD DC-10 in the early days, unfortunately, with the loss of many humab life and money, they are a much safer aircraft to travel on.

Yes, it takes a longer time to load the passengers due to its size. I travel many times a year on A380, and find the aircraft to be a pleasant one to travel in. The noise level has been significantly reduced, and the take-off and landing are smooth, noting that many accidents occur during these two phases of flight.

My 2 cent worth.

Still, I did not build the plane, hence it is safe to travel on a A380. Haha....

Thanks for the info.
Personally, the longer time it take to embark and disembark.....is good enough reason not to take the 380 unless there is no other choice.

Anyway, nowaday I mostly only fly regional or discount airline......it unlikely that I would have the chance to ty the 380 soon.
