Now the authorities are speculating the origin of infection could actually be from foreign boat crews infected fishery port workers / customers, who then spread it to wet markets in neighbourhoods and ktv.

So just think about it, if that first case from ktv did not happen and trigger a deeper examniation, then who knows how huge the spread could have been in our communities before it was noticed.

Foreign boat crews? So they were employed in international waters? How does their employment works?
No way if they were employed locally, since they would have undergone the 2weeks hotel stay.

It's a similar scenario to those malaysian truck drivers that enter/leave SG daily to deliver fresh produce. By right, the rules require these drivers to have undergone testing (which we know is unreliable) and avoid mingling when they drop off their cargo at the wholesalers/markets here. But without proper enforcement, drivers still step down to have ciggie and coffee after the long drive, chit chat, help to unload their trucks - all perfectly natural behaviour - and then??

You can still book a hotel room for 2 pax, even in Phase 2HA which will last till Aug 18th. So now it is a question of budget, rather than anything else. Staycations are still allowed, for 4 pax per room from the same household.

Chiongsters who are paranoid, and on a budget should check out the illegal AirBnBs renting out 3-6 hourly room slots.

FLs, MLs, KTV girls will all be desperate for business, so they will entertain all reasonable requests. I am not sure how tightly AV will clamp down, my view is that they are reactive instead of proactive so if there is no noticeable Massage Parlour cluster or Illegal FL cluster, then these infections will just register as unlinked cases.

Those scared of the rules around hotels registering WP/SPass/EP holders with their company names - you have to understand that this rule is strictly applied in all hotels. However, non-budget hotels allow visitors to follow the registered guests up to the room, until a time limit as specified in the house rules (usually 10pm or 1030pm).

Girls who are unregistered past that cut-off time (varies by property, note this is a House Rule and not a Law) technically need to be registered, but those who are up in the room from early evening will probably escape notice until they need to leave in the morning.

Most are Indonesian fishermen engaged by locals to bring in their catch on daily basis..life Jurong Fishery starts at 3.00am where the boats start coming in..anyone can actually go in and buy fresh seafood directly from the distributors...i think the pass for entry is still a dollar...correct me please if its has gone up.

Have. I was super shocked. At Jurong Point near Courts. A super old auntie basically keep saying they have massage to almost anyone who walks past. Many of the lady shoppers were asked too. I look at the shop and it's a facial shop.

Already they are conducting checks since weeks ago, regularly hauling up shops, MLs and customers for not following the mask-on rules. Shops that are caught are punished with 10-day closure.

Second dose no joke, you *might* have a long period of side effects. I was feverish for more than 3 days and was sore for maybe 7 days. Didn't have mood for massage.
