Anyway, it's only to be expected that these Yanks will make remarks like "it's the backwards European who isn't ready for their modern ways in sports marketing".
I'm not so sure the DIC bid (provided they are not trying to pull as fast one with the Yanks) will not succeed ... simply because:
1) the refinancing part has got through, plus the Yanks (specifically Hicks) are unwilling to finance with their own money
2) the 500m pound deal would still mean a handsome profit in less than a year of, "literally, contra trading"

It has been affecting the players for a long time liao ... hence, the series of misfiring draws ... thence, the water-bottle-kicking Rafa, etc
Dun forget ... if people like us get to read it, it is more than likely that the actual people in Anfield & Melwood would have heard & seen it all way before we did.

American-Arab ownership? I'm not saying this politically but culturally there's a lot of differences in the way business is done (if Brits cannot get along with Yanks, then what chance Yanks and Arabs?). Better to have sole ownership than joint in any case. But since the situation is what it is now (i.e. shite), our own response is to play our way out of it and hope our owners have more sense than what they have shown thus far.

I strongly agreed on ths points. Too many heads will mean too many opinions as well...then we will be practically be back to where we are now.

I just hope the team will take it in their stride, play to their best, hopefully to prove the Yanks wrong. However, we have been pretty quiet in the transfer market too...that look worrying

But of course, I hafta agree that sole ownership will always be better than any joint partnerships.
Just that we wun know, by being sold from one ownership to the next sole one, whether it's gonna be like from a kettle to a cooking pot.
