Sad to say, ex wife if got money, can always hire lawyer and file you variation of court order and you will need to appear in court or mediation session. I think it might be even possible for your ex wife to ownself file and ownself represent ownself in mediation and court if mediation failed to save on lawyer cost just to make your life miserable and keep attending mediation court session. I know because I been thru and have ask my lawyer before there is no way you can stop your ex wife from filing.

The courts are fair.
The courts know that kids are equal responsibilities of both parents.
In fact the expenses should be split.
Also it does not mean u have to continue to maintain ur ex wife for rest of her life just becos u have been married for sometime.
The courts are reasonable.
U wont need to pay a single cent more. Ur "liabilities" are sort of lock at the point of Divorce.
If overnight u strike a CNY toto draw and become mulitmillionaire......u ex wife cannot come and claim any of ur new found wealth.... SHE HAS NO PART IN IT....
