didn't join any barhopping cos already spent after 'some workout' with YY...through the afternoon..

intend to rest early as tomorrow will need to wake up around 730am.

1. Clarkstar Hotel, but do note that it's a budget hotel which can't hold a candle to the Valentinos which costs more than double.
Located abt 300m from fields action area.
Suitable for budget stayers w no high expectations.

2. Wifi signal is weak in some rooms n not usable in others as experience few days ago by us. However the reception lobby signal is much better.

Contact ZIEBART if u really want to book to get the best deal.

Sad to say yes. AC has left life long memories for many visitors. Even some Singaporeans have cut short their stay and swore never to return.

It's not that we are fully safe in numbers but at least we are not alone when we get hit.

Last night I was attacked by a group of pick pockets who swarmed me and relieved me of some small notes from my shirt pocket . I chased her and she denied. What to do? I let it go. Cannot win.

Thanks my Lord for concern. Also my fault to walk alone outside Kokomos at 4am to meet a girl after her work.

Group of 5 consisting of 2 Bakla 2 girls and a SYT crowded me to offer services. My defence of 2 hands covering my pocket with wallet and pushing their 10 hands away was useless. Wallet was safe but my few peso notes from shirt pocket was taken. I caught the girl with money in hand but she denied its mine. How???

So another lesson for my brothers here. Credit from my small loss. You know now to watch out for groups approaching you in fields. PREVENTION IS BETTER THEN CURE.

Reminds me of a survival tip I tell cheongsters in HCMC - can apply to MNL/AC as well:

1. Don't carry a wallet. You don't need your NRIC, Singapore Driver's Licence, multiple credit cards, S'pore Bank ATM card, etc. etc. with you when you go out overseas. I simply carry cash for the night's expenditure in my front jeans/shorts/trousers pocket and maybe 1 credit card in my back pocket as emergency back up. That's it that's all.

Leave everything else in the hotel room safe.

2. Leave that Rolex, gold chain, gold ring, etc. back home in Singapore. Needless to say, don't walk around with the latest Canon/Nikon camera strapped around your neck like I see many tourists do in HCMC. They are simply asking for trouble.

ZIEBART gave away few old shirts..snapped up by the local guys, then he gave further 'reward' by having a basketball shoot session...guys who can shoot direct in limited attempts will get some pesos...last reward was to hit direct by throwing backward in one single throw...one lucky guy walked away with 400 pesos..

After ZIEBART gave away some loose changes, we left Hensonville in the evening, back to jeepney terminal area,

Glad to know that you are safe. We were just talking about this the other day when you spotted the SGD50 in my wallet. Like Bro Singkieu said, my logic is to only carry what i may need for the day (like PHP3000 - I may want to barfine one or two syt), and distribute my money else where. I wouldn't carry my ATM card with me, as I am afraid that they would force me to go to an ATM machine to take out more money. With credit cards, the bars would want a ID for you to use it. So maybe no need to take credit card out either because if you do then you would need to take an ID with you.

AC can be safe if you take care (just incase some readers here think that it is 100% sure to get robbed). Honestly, Singapore is one of the safest places in the world, so very very few places in the world compares to it in safety terms. Bro Ziebart is a very safe and careful person, but still can get robbed, its just how it is in the cowboy town that is AC.

The important thing is that Bro Ziebart is safe. A tip for the bros here, your safety is more important than money, you shouldn't be carrying large amounts of money. And if they do steal that, let them have the small amount. Leaves a bad taste and bad experience but they may be desperate and see our bro Ziebart as an easy mark due to his kind looks and demeanor.

Just as they said that no proof it is your money, there is no proof it is theirs either. possession is 100% of the law here, I guess.

Actually, an unsafe place is back pocket ..

My advice, on top of yours, is, to use the money pouch, like below, tuck INSIDE YOUR PANTS (I keep my CC and IC there ..) and don't put too much until it starts to bulge

I been hit a few times, in Malate and Makati (yes, MAKATI) when a swarm of kids surround you .. too bad, they didn't have anything to take, and it is more drama as you cannot push the kids away .. and hence my aversion to giving to street kids ..



Back pocket is one of the places that get 'scanned' or picked, when you are surrounded.

The better solution, is to get an inner pocket stitched, so you can just shove some cash and retrieve when in the toilet ..

Just woke up n saw this unfortunate incident.
Should hv scheduled my dates to overlap urs maybe this wouldn't happen.

Do take precaution on safety when in AC.
I use underwear w zip pocket to hide the bigger notes to minimize loss if such things do happens.

Kokomos should be a very safe area being in the middle of Fields ave........ and there is a manned police box beside it if i remember correctly.

I always wear specially modified cargo pants while in the PI....... it has an inner pocket built-in which is large enough to carry concealed stuff n weapons.

I just need to remember to clear out everything from there when passing through the airport checkpoints.
