I have to agree with lim2003, sumo is great, one many places that cater to locals that want non local variety.
There many such place, beside sumo there about 3-4 place like that. I personal I was taken to 3 of these place by my travel agent, but come to think of it; why would I want to go for something that is readily available at home[Singapore] for so much cheaper compare to Jakarta. For the same money I would rather get an Indonesian, that is the reason we travel right? To sample the local culture! Hahahaha.

yup... in Alexis the room are divide by curtain instead of Walls.... isn;t it amazing....more over the prices are the same at Sumo bt its wilder then Sumo...

am in jakarta now, south jakarta at the kebayoran Baru area (Dharmawangsa hotel). Tried calling ah guan to go tropical but he said quite far away. He suggested Delta but said it's hard to get FJ. See how lah.

... i thought the curtain thing happen only in traditional massage like in BKK ...

To the Bros who is interested to go Sumo, when you took a blue bird there make sure you ask the cab driver to wait for you.. very few cabs will pass by there....

Thats not a good advice brother. Firstly you are not sure how long you are going to spend at SUMO. The taxi driver will insist that the meter conitnue to run as all Buebird driver earn from commission. He would also want a waiting fee depending on the number of hours spend at SUMO.

A better option is to ask the SUMO manangement to phone for a taxi, specifically BLUEBIRD. For booking a cab there is a minimun charge of IDR 25,000. Alternatively if you speak Indonesian you can call the Bluebird operator and radio for a cab yourself.The number is 021- 79171234.

You can go to Maharaja Hotel at Mampang which is quite near to Dharmawangsa Hotel except that the traffic ard there in the evening is really bad. Inside Maharaja - basement there is a karoake which is staffed by local girls only. I went there some years ago. Hopefully it is still there.

Yes Dharmawangsa Hotel is far away from Tropical and would be a problem for you to try and seeked it out as not all cab drivers know of the location. But if you have the time why not take a taxi to Emporivm at Jl Pecenongan. The taxi driver can bring you there maybe from Dharmawangsa the cab fee may cost you in the region of 50,000 ruppiahs. The landmarks of Emporivm is that it is located opposite REDTOP Hotel which all taxi drivers know. Jl Pecenongan is also a favorite eating joint as there are several eateries lined along the road. It may be easier for you to get to Emporivm than Tropical.

upon the advice of some local business associates, I went to "Hotel Melawai" located at 18, Jl Melawai Raya, Kebayoran Baru.

On the 6th floor is a bar, with girls doing FL there. They can do FJ at the rooms on the same floor of the hotel. price is 400k RP all inclusive.

I tried a girl by the name of "Ai". Very petitie skinny gal, A cup. But can speak good english, quite pretty, young, and quite fun to be with. Offered her 500k to spend the nite at the hotel with me but she declined, quoting 1m Rp.

Love the report, I think that class of girls in Hotel Melawai, was the same with D's place, my bar and top gun.
So if you guy love that kind of girls, sure why not.
I prefer not to hang around girls that have been with expiates, nothing against the guys, but the girls normally are not too polite, because those guy generally accept anything, so the girls will walk all over the guys and are down right rude.
For example, if you go to Halai night club; that is where our tour guide took me on my last trip. We meet lots of girls, none of the girls work for the club; i.e. freelances, but they were all polite to our group.
