Just some intel on bkk flights to share here. Searched for bkk fares both budget and regular. Got CX return for a steal at $246 direct from Cathay Pacific webbie next weekend return on weekday (if return mon up $325). Cheaper than budget going for about 270-300+ kns, with all restrictions + extras on baggage, seating etc. Only trade off is frequency -only 1 flight daily. My experience is that it's always punctual, as it's connecting to/from HK.

TG was doing $375. Watch out for annual SQ promo about 250+ restricted travel in low Oct period (small time window)

Flew a couple of times with CX at that rate and if not available will fly with TG at $290 from Kwang Chow Travel in GM but both come with restriction imposes. When coming back both airlines carry a lot of mainland chinese passengers group sitting at several back rows.
I usually check all flights info and rates with viasingapore.com run by Changi airport. There was a SG promotion going on at $308 with booking end 31st Aug and for departure 1st Sep to 18th Nov.

For promo pricing, you'd (realistically) expect restrictions. For TG, you've a menu choice on webbie to pay a small premium for flexibility (change, refundable). Helps if you are definite on travel dates. Budget's worse off, as they feed on $$ for everything and changes. Also not immune to PRC hordes.

You still walking it at travel shops for ticketing at GM (rather than direct airline webbies)? Guess for travel shops it's more personalised service and can even offload some from block bookings.

touch down Suvarnabhumi around 4pm thai time, took a public cab to Darjelling hotel located at Sukhumvit soi 18. The hotel is quite hard to find. but it very near to Asok BTS station, just 3 mins walking.
