My take is to follow ChrisSutton's prediction (although charlie's prediction is accurate most of the time - still waiting for his prediction to cum in ??)...even if they don't win, i don't think they would lose either beefed up by the additions of the new boys esp Martinez n Malacia both tenacious footballers who kept Salah n Firmino quiet in the last game against mighty Pool n the inclusion of new boy Casemiro from RM ..but pretty likely that the sotongs will score at least 1 goal if not more...so i'll go for a win but the margin of the win might not be huge prolly win only by a goal ??...so 2-1 as Chris predicted ??...let us see the outcome tomolo night

Doesn't matter much to us how much they r paying to buy Antony from Ajax.. so long as it is not our personal money n he can help the club to get back up to top 4 if not win the EPL...not sure if correct or not, but heard problem is that they will not hv this kind of money to pay for good quality players in the next few seasons as they need lots of money to renovate n upgrade facilities at Old Trafford as well

i really hope the match vs pool was not a one-off and the squad play like this throughout this campaign. ETH will have to clear out players who doesn't fit into his system (may take 4 windows) and maguire may spend the season as a rotation player or sub on to pack the defence and secure a result

i think DDG is currently the most senior player? making him capt is the natural thing to do, and he has the best vision in the GK position to command the defence. seen too much laziness and switching off last season, DDG gotta use the hairdryer

today vs saints, martial is out so rashford will lead the attack again, and it will be a good opportunity to unleash garnacho

an win to end poor away form, here are some thoughts:

- rashford was ineffective when deployed as No.9, not much supply to him, he's more dangerous when playing as AML
- sancho was ineffective when deployed as AML, i think ETH should play him as AMR instead of accommodating elanga to be on the right
- fernandes played too further upfield when attacking, he should drop slightly deeper to center circle area and serve as another outlet for passes. seems like eriksen is the main playmaker but saints were well drilled to deny/reduce his passing options
- good strategy to play mctom deeper when defending, his height helped in dealing with crosses and set pieces
- good defensive work, a clean sheet to build confidence and another 3 pts


on a side note, why does man u want to sign antony? the squad is well stocked with players who can play on the wing. CR7 can be a targetman but doesn't have the legs in him, man u must sign a targetman striker who is tall, quick, strong and good in the air... is there another erling haaland?

Not as exciting as the previous match against Liverpool.
The tempo comparatively slower.

I was thinking could be 0-0 until Bruno strikes.
I think he happy like f**k after underpar performance for quite sometime.

Again, Eriksen start with Bruno....2 creative playmakers could confused issues, I guess.

Anyway, the MOTM again was Martinez....really work his socks off doing all the interceptions. His reading and positioning really good.
What I like about him, he will try to cut off the danger when he sees it before the sh*t arrived too near for comfort.
And when DDG makes a spectacular save, he went to congratulate him.
