No worries bros . altho i like Owen, i oso dun hope he'll come bk to Anfield. i dun thk he can contribute much as a 1st team player. BUT if as a sub, he's imho still better than players like ngog, voronin. mayb can make a super sub BUT is he willing to be benched wk in wk out??? if buy Owen, wat abt asking 'God' Fowler to come bk n partner him??? *LOL*

Today ST reported that Pool is interested in signing bargains like Sylvain Distin & Tuncay Sanli... Should be targeting Big names instead hunting for bargins.. Really disappointed with the purchases list...
when i read d news this morning, i was like 'oh not anthr bunch of 2nd grade signings again. Tuncay is juz like a Voronin of sorts - d kind who is so so onli, n mayb give a big performance every 1 out of 10 games. distin again is anthr ordinary hard defender to me. i rather we go for some notable ones who performed outstandingly this season eg Jagielka (Everton), Laursen (AV) ... or even ManC's hard men Dunne or Richards.

He was also 1 of those most fouled players which 6 (i thk) players kena red carded for tackling him.

I got the feeling something's not quite rite behind the scenes at anfield
First we have Arbeloa asking for transfer...
Then we have Alonso rejecting the extension contract offer...
Now Dossena wants to go back to Italy...
Can somebody tell me what's going on ?

Mark Hughes is no Mourinho ......... Man C can buy all the players they want but they still need that someone special to mould them into a winning team

I don't think manc k be mould in2 serious title contenders next season .....

perhaps they could be moving around the 3rd place ~ 10th place.

Uefa cup competition 4 them in 2010/2011 looks more realistic .....

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I thought last season there is someone who are interested in buying over the club but the 2 yankees are willing to sell 50% only. Now the report comes out that Liverpool are still owing alot of money. This is call unstability on the club itself.
New players that Liverpool are targeting will realise that if they come to the club, they will ask the question is it stable enough for them to play for this club.

Haiz, really hope that someone will save this beloved club of ours from any kind of problems soon. If this continues, Liverpool will not attract good players to play for them in the future.

NEWS FROM TODAY"S NEWSPAPER

Liverpool are determined to hold on to Xabi Alonso despite the midfielder's desire to move to Real Madrid. Sources at Anfield indicated that it would take a "mind-blowing" offer by the Spanish giants to prise the 27-year-old away from the club. Real president Florentino Perez told The Times: "Xabi is a magnificent Spanish player, so of course weÂ’d love to have him," Pérez said. "But everything would involve reaching an agreement with Rafael Benítez. It will need to be an agreement that is in the best interests of both clubs." (The Times)

Napoli `must consider Reds offer'
Mon 08 Jun, 12:29 PM

Ezequiel Lavezzi's advisors have urged Napoli not to deny the player a move to Liverpool.

The Merseysiders have reportedly enquired about the Argentina striker only to see their advances rebuffed as Napoli look to cling on to the 24-year-old, who is under contract until June 2013.

"Liverpool's proposal is true," said Lavezzi's advisor Eduardo Rossetto. "(Napoli general director Pierpaolo) Marino has met twice with FIFA agent Pablo Cosentino, who has invited him to set up a meeting in Liverpool or in Naples with the English outfit.

"Ezequiel has tried several times to speak to Marino but he has received no response. If Napoli have decided to take this extreme position, so will we.

"We don't want to force Napoli to sell the player but I think it is correct for the club just to consider the offer, to judge it whether it's sufficient or not."

Lavezzi, who joined Napoli in the summer of 2007, scored seven goals for the Serie A club in the recently-completed season.

Insider News from Anfield !!

Arbeloa, Dossena, Babel, Aurelio, Riera, Alonso and Torres will not be joining the Reds asian tour. Torres has asked to be given time off for his honeymoon after getting married to his childhood fiancee 2 weeks ago.

Arbeloa, Riera, Alonso n Torres will be busy competing in the Confederation Cup tournament later this month and will be left out of the tour to take their much needed rest. Although Pepe Reina is also in the spanish team for the tournament, he is not expected to be heavily involved and has been allowed to join the tour.

MORE LIVERPOOL NEWS !

Eurosport - Sun, 07 Jun 16:25:00 2009

News of Liverpool's financial problems has provoked rumours that Barcelona are to bid for midfielder Javier Mascherano.

How much of a blow would it be to Liverpool if they lost the tenacious Argentine from their midfield engine room?

Are Liverpool in any position to resist the advances of Barcelona in a £20 million bid comes in, with Real Madrid also interested in Xabi Alonso?

And do Barcelona even need Mascherano after claiming a remarkable treble, culminating in the Champions League final?

Damn the Yankee F*CKERS They are turning Liverpool into another Leeds United
