Blue Bird might cost you much less, subject to min of 25k.

Most drivers will quote you 50k for any 2 points in Nagoya, up to, maybe, BCS / A2.

Bluebird taxis are not allowed to pick up passengers from all the harbours, malls and many other establishments.

If you want a metered taxi, you can call Silvercab (‭+62 778 461000‬). Otherwise, you can get a taxi from the taxi counter but they will quote you 60-70k for a ride to Gideon Hotel.

Interesting to know that. I believe if there is a crocodile farm,there should have crocodile products for sale. I remember i saw in the news that Thailand got caught in some kind of a flood and end up hundreds of crocodile (could be thousands) escaped from the farm.

I am actually quite surprise that crocodile oil is VERY popular among older tourists. And yet its not something anyone can get everywhere off the street ofvSingapore,hence its not cheap. I think only 1 or 2 shops sells them in Sillypore. Small market but seems like its being monopolized.

(only can be found in Sillypore,becos these were made there)

I am only interested in the crocodile oil tho (if i can find it in Batam),hehehe...the rest tho still popular,cannot help me break enough profit for my batam trip expenses.

I just learned 2 days ago that i cannot courier those stuffs from Singapore to China,these China tourist have to come to Sillypore to collect the things they wish to buy from me,hehehe...

Much often,i would put myself in another person's position, try to understand the situation and think from their perspective before i comment,hehehe...

I would bargain in nearly all cases and in the event when if i feel i owe a certain girl/s or the OKT/s in any kind of situation, i would choose to tip them after all payment is done. There was a few times,i would buy some small gift/s worth no more than 50k rupiah for mami/girl and my "returns" can be relatively good. (i do put myself in the girl's shoe too)

Reason,it is becos i can afford to tip and buy gifts for them whenever services were rendered good enough for myself but i cannot afford NOT to bargain when most part of the country's business communities were prepare to mark up for another to bargain downward.

Tipping and rewarding for good service is personal for me,bargaining is kind of like a business deal.

Just sharing my experience.

I am going to remind all my friends who didnt go to booking joints with a driver to SPECIALLY mention that they have no driver or ojek with them and also tell the OKTs that... "i hear from my friend that there's ALWAYS an ojek who pretend to be our driver/ojek to collect our commission, making booking price goes higher, just outside your shop, is it? "

From Harbour Bay to Gideon,if you go to Harbour Bay taxi stand just outside the Departure/Arrival entrance near Harbour Mart,it will cost you about 60k rupiah to 70k rupiah.

1.5 min walk away from the Hall outside Horizon ticket office,it will cost you about 50k rupiah.

Prices stated above were before bargaining. My friend were still able to get 40k rupiah outside Horizon ticket office with a little bargain (during Aug 2017). Hehehe...for 30k rupiah,i think i might need to put in lots of effort during the bargaining ,i can call a 30k taxi fare from Harbour Bay rare today.

Today, I take the hotel's shuttle taxi service,its FREE (free for 2 way),even if i have friends with me...hehehe...tested in all my 2017 Batam trips over the last 6 months.

(note : this privilege doesnt apply to everyone tho)

The day is still so young in Batam now. Pick up the phone in your room,dial an hour massage up your room (wont cost more than 150k rupiah for a basic massage) to help you relax your shagginess,hehehe...but the special service in Justmine might cost a bomb (if you cant bargain well enough,it's may cost as much as in Sillypore). So you may wish to give that part a miss until tomorrow when you get to New Spa. New Spa can be a good place to relax and kill some time too.

Batam City Hotel and Gideon Hotel,only 5 mins apart...hehehe...

Spend some time talking to the receptionist to see if they provide FREE shuttle service to Nagoya,if they do then there's a chance for a cheaper special service massage around Utama hotel area. (i am not saying New Spa is not good,but always check on their pricing 1st before commit a deal,its suppose to come with a free HJ, top up a bit for fj plus free usage of facilities)
