seconded that. at least the flicks and he tries to move the play forward with the midfield teamates.. whereas SG just figures to be sulking that the front men are not moving to areas for him to pass..

for christ sakes, put AA into the hole and hope there is enough time to create an understanding with nando and rest. Subbing AA in with 30mins left more 10mins aint ENOUGH for him to adapt to the EPL...

Just bench Lucas and our captain... if the boys still continue this bad day/s performance for the next games, it wont matter even if manure gives us a freebie..

I wouldn't mind AA playing and I definitely want Mascher back in midfield asap. Stevie does need to play to get his match fitness.

But it's not a problem of one or two players at all. Look at the attackers we had against Wigan - Stevie, Torres, Yossi, Kuyt - and yet we never had the ball or used it properly. The team has got to take responsibility.

yes.. marcherano need to be back in midfield asap.. he's "wasted" in RB.. we need his energy and ball winning ability in the middle...
surprisingly tat he's the player who is taking over alonso's role of fetching the ball from the defense and bring it forward!!??

of the front 4 or 5 (maxi, kuyt, yossi, gerrard, torres), only maxi deserved some credit, he workerd hard and did put in few nice crosses, one of them which an unmarked torres headed over the crossbar from close range...

our toothless attackers made Titus Bramble look like Paolo Maldini!!!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

i can only rem yossi for that 1 chance in the 1st half where he ran ard the CB and pass to SG, but his shot was wide n weak.. FT kpkb why he dint get e square pass frm SG but that was too much to ask ..

As the match went on, can see the frustration increasing and the passes went either haywire, or the attack dint gell at all.. kept getting picked off by the wigan wing backs. Zongbia and the other winger really dangerous.. keeps going at speed and terror the flanks.. something which we dont have..

IF ONLY IF wenger had bought Nando 3 yrs ago.. imagine the # of goals he could have scored.. and tapped in instead of the wasteful bendtner... its scary to imagine that.. and then the gunner fans wont be on his back all day long.. but it will be going against AW's philosophy .. Lol.. (side tracking)

again dun see what lucas is offering to the team by playing... he is depensible and still no clue why the boss keeps him in his 1st few choices on the team..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Its done and dusted, IMHO, we're out of the Champions League next season...!

Worst still, with the way things are going (ie the inability to pick up points away from home, especially to teams below us which we ought to and do typically beat), the best position we will finish is 7th!!!!

Its embrassing that we are not challenging for the league, humiliating that we're not playing in the champions league knock-out stage or the FA Cup, it will be an utter disgrace if we cannot even finish in the top four!!!

Nonetheless, I fear that this will be the case come end of the season. I get the feeling that even the players (and I mean our stars) are starting to be affected by all the negativity that is going on at the club with the owners, the debts and even the manager and his baffling ways, such that the disillusionment with how this season has turned out is slowly but surely being exhibited by the sub-par and deviod of any fighting spirit type performances being brought to bear on the pitch. It seems to me that the team has given up on this season and are just going through the motion of completing the fixture list to the end of the season.

I do hope that I am well and truely wrong in stating all this. Otherwise, the dark days for our great club has certainly begun and we are slowly and surely slipping into the mid-table mediocrity syndrome. Whilst I hope for the best (ie that we will still finish 4th), I must confess that I am prepared for the worst!!!

Do bros still feel that we will see the inside of Champions League competittion next season? If so, I would be grateful to receive some confidence boosters because I am currently really low on that right now....

as much as i want us th finish 4th but with nine games remaining, sixth in the table and Tottenham and Manchester City above us now have games in hand.(not forgettin Villa)

time to WAKE UP Rafael Benitez

Bro, totally agree with you. Perhaps the subborn spanish bull has adopted him and doesn't want to see his "son" miss out on a place in the Brazialian squad to the World Cup!!!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I just sense that FT & SG is lseeking a move away from AF..

His performance since the start of this season has been poor once liverpool lost their 1st 3 games of the season.

Also given SG's age, the last chance for him to winning a winning medal..sadly to say this, but its seems more & more likely now.

We need to see what happens in the nxt few mths or after the WC.

Mascher is not a bad passer actually, just that he may not have Alonso's vision or quick mind sometimes. In a bad season, Mascher has done OK with his tackling and leadership, I just wish he cuts out his spinning on the ground antics (but WTF he is Argentinian after all).

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Now aren't we fighting to stay in 5 and 6 position for next season europa ?

As a layman...not manager or tactican.....i just want to ask. "why purchase a player costing 18mill...and put him on the bench." Are we loaded let blue over at london or spurs? If AA is good enough than play him. Apparently by not playing AA..RB admiting he is not good enough to be even in the 1st team. Not excuses like protecting him...not match fit...need to gel... etc etc.

My boss pay me certain sum of money...he definitely be expecting me to give him a performance more if not equal to that value. Bosses won't cut the crap..need time to gel...need time to familiarise...excuses etc etc. The most giving some integrating times into the company. AA already got that...as now we are in March 2010.

As for alonso case...fine alonso wanted to leave. But shouldn't it be a (manager's ability/capbabily/talent) to be able to persuade and convince certain player/employee not to leave? If he do value Alonso contribution i believe he would have done so wholeheartedly or whatever mean he can. Remember how he convniced SG and mikey not to leave for Blue and RM respectively. On one hand putting aloson "for sales" cos we need the cash to purchase his replacement. If my boss does that to me honestly would i still stay in that company? Would i still trust the boss? Anyway Alsonso is already history now. What annoying or rather worrying is RB already lost the dressing room. The players attitude...confidence....you can see that not all, but some of them already lost the belief in RB on the field. This definitely would have a snow ball effect...tringgering thru amongst the players.

Is better to feel a short acute pain and recover...rather than a long and torturing pain. RB in promising 4th position is exactly like GH in his last 2nd tenure year coming out and proclaim that we could win the CPL and BPL. The next season he was asked to leave. Sad ...sad ...sad...though. I personally do love RB but i reckon he can bring us not further. I don't want him to leave now....not until someone that can transform liverpool do come along. Don't act hastily but also don't be blinded and short sighed. We need a thorough complete change top down. By the way how old is SG and PR the so call spine of our team? Will they be around when another manager do come along? Can they wait for another 5 more years?

FINALLY ABLE TO GET THE RANT OF MY CHEST.

i agree with kopties... Pay money fer a player to put on bench or play outta position. Honestly, Benitez screwed out Gerard up. He is suppose to be at the peak of his game... Rafa continuous play of him everywhere but middle of the park changed gerard. Stevie was super in rafa's first... the other season that he did well? it is because stevie is being stevie. The gerard now looks clueless, tired and dunno what to do.

Babel got no clue how to play on wings... maxi still think he is in spanish league while lucas wun even play fer team Singapore. Honestly, Liverpool is in a lot of trouble. As a fan, I'm really sad to see this sia.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Those of you who criticise Rafa for AA, note that he has played Maxi very fully since he arrived. Not defending Rafa here, but we all know he has a fixed mind on things.

If the team is struggling and the player is an unknown factor, not to mention had a serious injury, I can just about accept not breaking up the formation. I hope next season Rafa starts AA from the beginning and give him a good run of games. If he doesn't, he should rightly be blasted.

tat's exactly the point... when the boss pay u certain sum of money, he expect u to give certain level of performance...
but when u din perform up to the level tat u r capable, then how can u ask the boss continue to put his trust in you?
then how can u say u dun trust the boss, when u din do enuf for the boss to trust u in the 1st place...?

rafa screwed gerrard up??!! he actually played his best football after rafa took over..

u r criticing maxi after how many games he played in epl?? 3 full games?? 4?? unbelievable... moreover, i think he played well in the last 2 games...

lastly, i can't believe tat until today, people still after lucas...!! to say tat he wun even play for team s'pore?!! i think tat's a bit too much lo....

i'm not defending rafa blindly... but just compare current team to souness's, evan's or houllier's team, then u see tat rafa has definitely brought us forwards... now the question is whether can he continue to bring us further, and at this moment, IMHO it's still "work in progress"... but the progress is definitely delayed by the 2 yankees....
