ya, very easy, application and renewal, can be done on internet, I have just done for my own mum and MIL recently. even better, they skip the medical checkup part and 5 years LTVP were given

I would love to do that ....

My wife got one worry .... Although my wife house compound are very big with her 2 aunties' families staying there n 10 over families staying in the rented , Someone need to look after her house ... She scared that her whole house are being looted when leave unattended for a long time ... Hahahaha ...

If not my MIL should be here too ...

another good thing is that... if you maintain your MIL in Singapore, you got higher Parent Relief in your personal income tax calculation:

"You may claim this relief if you have supported your parents, grandparents or great-grandparents or THOSE OF YOUR SPOUSE.......

for YA2011, the parent relief is 7k....

serious huh,that time i apply for my wife when she just come SG,they only give 1 year,now MIL they give 5 years so meaning to say that if my wife holding 1 year LTVP,her mother can stay in sg for 4 years longer than her daughter so they actually allow MIL to stay longer than their viet spouse
